We were on our way to Happy Valley Tea Estate when decided for a stopover at this cute little café. What really fascinated me about this place was its location. Oh! How can I forget the wall with paper cuttings of Bob Marley? Anyway, as we sat and ordered for 3 cups of coffee, momos and fried noodles, the uncle... More

Rambo at Hot Stimulating Café welcomed us in out of the cold, despite appearing closed, for a really good cup of tea, and some delicious momos - ready as quickly as he could cook them! Despite the Bob Marley posters he wasn't able to play any for us... but we were treated to a great soundtrack anyway :) Slightly grubby... More

Nothing special about the food of this place, me and my friends stopped at this place when visiting the zoo, The only good thing is the views, but we get better food in other Cafe's in Darjeeling. We had momo and tea, but average quality, nothing special. This place is over hyped, only good for the views.

First, to say that my experience of Rumba is the complete opposite of him as represented in the previous review. He was completely trustworthy and a gent. We liaised with him via email before the trek, and he took us on a fantastic four day trip of a lifetime, during which we saw Everest and Kankungjunga, in part using 60yr... More

We found this small café on our way to the zoo. It is located on the hill – café has a very nice view and very peaceful. I think the owner likes Bob Marley and his posters are everywhere in the café. We tried the Darjeeling tea & Momos (both steamed and fried). I have to say I’ve had better... More

We stopped by this cafe twice - on the way to the zoo, for tea, and on the way back, for tea and momos. The tea was great, very hot. The steamed vegetarian momos were better than the fried ones (we had both). The dipping sauce was VERY spicy-hot!! Be warned! As we were leaving, another guest party were getting... More

we entered this cafe by accident, while we were walking on the road (the one that goes to the Darjeeling zoo) and we entered to have cup of tea but then, we felt in love with the cafe and the kind hostess who sat down with us and told us the story of her life and how they started the... More

To be true, Its right above my house. Despite the fact that its Coffee is not really stimulating. I could readily vouch for the Lemon Tea, Momos and locally brewed alcohol served there named TONGBA. Must try. Also the owner is a charming man who will look to serving you till your last swallow/gulp. :)

The veg momos are always fresh from kitchen and the tea or coffee is served hot and just rightly done. The little posters of the wall tells you it has got a sense of humour. But the nicest thing about it is its location which is just half way between Darj centre and HMI, which means when you just feel... More

Run by genuine people with authentic smiles, this little cafe is tucked away in the trees near the mountaineering institute. The menu is small and simple, as is the decor. The atmosphere is kept very relaxed by the near constant bob marley soundtrack and the tongba home brew is the best thing to try on the menu!
