This restaurant is a classic tourist trap. I am writing this review on the treks the owner (Rumba) offers to the unsuspecting tourists who visit his restaurant. The owner is a sweet talker and convinced us on a trek to Singalila on the pretext that he would be our guide and show us the beautiful mountains and the nature. The... More

We found this small café on our way to the zoo. It is located on the hill – café has a very nice view and very peaceful. I think the owner likes Bob Marley and his posters are everywhere in the café. We tried the Darjeeling tea & Momos (both steamed and fried). I have to say I’ve had better... More

We stopped by this cafe twice - on the way to the zoo, for tea, and on the way back, for tea and momos. The tea was great, very hot. The steamed vegetarian momos were better than the fried ones (we had both). The dipping sauce was VERY spicy-hot!! Be warned! As we were leaving, another guest party were getting... More

we entered this cafe by accident, while we were walking on the road (the one that goes to the Darjeeling zoo) and we entered to have cup of tea but then, we felt in love with the cafe and the kind hostess who sat down with us and told us the story of her life and how they started the... More

To be true, Its right above my house. Despite the fact that its Coffee is not really stimulating. I could readily vouch for the Lemon Tea, Momos and locally brewed alcohol served there named TONGBA. Must try. Also the owner is a charming man who will look to serving you till your last swallow/gulp. :)

The veg momos are always fresh from kitchen and the tea or coffee is served hot and just rightly done. The little posters of the wall tells you it has got a sense of humour. But the nicest thing about it is its location which is just half way between Darj centre and HMI, which means when you just feel... More

Run by genuine people with authentic smiles, this little cafe is tucked away in the trees near the mountaineering institute. The menu is small and simple, as is the decor. The atmosphere is kept very relaxed by the near constant bob marley soundtrack and the tongba home brew is the best thing to try on the menu!

Lovely Lili spent three hours to teach us how to prepare Momos. It was a beautiful morning full of laughter and our delicious, self-made Momos were just ready for lunch.
