I was told that one should not buy tea from darjeeling as we have lot of frauds dealing in it. I went to this shop and tasted the tea at 60 rs per cup. I inquired about the shop and their authenticity. I was quite convinced by the owner and finally bought half kg of tea at 800 rs. But... More

This is a franchise outlet of Goodricke tea and offers some 50 plus tea varieties. You can try tea and purchase as well. This place also has ice creams on their menu.

I love tea and have visited too many tea shops in Darjeeling to count. I found the staff helpful and knowledgeable and Goodricke's was also a lot quieter and than some of the other tea shops in the area. The prices were as good as many others in this area of Darjeeling and a little cheaper than somoe of the... More

Tea background at the counter followed by testing the tea you want to buy (you have to pay for it) and while you are lost in the aroma of fresh Darjeeling Tea, your tea is ready. Must try!

We had ice cream in the House of Tea and it was great, but what makes it worth the visit is the assortment of high quality Darjeeling tea and Mrs Puri, the proprietor who has a wealth of knowledge of tea and Darjeeling history and folklore. My wife who is a passionate Darjeeling tea aficionado would be happy to visit... More

It's located at the main road itself and the brand of tea is very popular. The place is nice and simple but the tea is awesome. We ordered Margret's hope and castleton which were simply the best. Also we bought some tea from the place. Cakes and pastries are delicious.

we had many options to buy the Darjeeling tea but this was the pick as it has the heritage and geniuine quality of the Tea from the gardens of Darjeeling. A must for the tea lover. The taste of Darjeeling tea has to be developed like the taste of wine and here is the place where you can do that.... More

I dont know why this place is so highly rated. They didn't offer much information about the teas they sold, and when I ordered some to drink there, the people serving it didn't seem very inclined to do so. The tea itself was good - badamtam first flush and we enjoyed it and went our merry way.

This place on the mall road is very nice. You can actually drink and select the tea you want to buy, before you buy those costly Darjeeling teas. The only drawback being that you have to pay for the tea you drink ...
