I had stayed in Darjeeling for a large number of my childhood days studying in the most elite of boarding schools in Asia probably and whenever we would get to go to town we would run to Glens(as its lovingly called) and get our hands at whatever we could afford with our paltry sums for pocket money..heheheh.. ever since I've... ...well, mediocre. I thinks it's now more of a descent cake shop and no more an institution that it was. The marzipan machine was broken - why don't they get a new one!!!!

We arrived in Darjeeling craving something that was somewhat familiar and not spicy. We dragged the kids across the street from KFC and Pizza Hut to the Glenary. The food was surprisingly awesome! I loved the macaroni and cheese with bacon (ham). It was baked with lots of cheese and real pieces of ham. One son got the roast chicken... More

During my 3 day stay in Darjeeling, I tried most of their bakery items. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing taste of the eateries. The pastries, the puffs, the doughnuts, the chocolates etc were simply delicious. The sitting area in the cafe was almost always full and its really difficult to get a seat. Though a bit on the... The ambiance at the restaurant is worth remembering. All of their bakery items are just splendidly awesome. Each of the items justify its price with the taste that I am sure no one would have tasted anywhere. One of the best experience we had in Darjeeling.

A travellers hotspot for good reasons! Good range of coffee and tea as well as fine cakes and pastry. The prices are reasonable. The restaurant on the first floor is a bit more pricy though, but i heared its worth it...

Awesome food, loved the homemade pizza - wow! They have an excellent array of bakery items! The cold coffee, overlooking the Darjeeling city on a rainy afternoon - priceless!

I did not try many cafes in Darjeeling but I can for sure say one of the best cafes if not "the best". Lovely Tea, snacks, scones, cakes, cream rolls, and what not :) and amazing view.... Must visit ....

This is my second best joint after keventers in Darjeeling. Awesome pastries are available at their bakery. Equally good brunch awaits you. Try their roasted pork sub sandwich. If you are at the restaurant then you can go for a mixed grill or a chicken roast. The view from the joint is also real good. A well chosen book can... More

It's a colonial leftover and though the cakes, pastries and pies are not like we have in the UK, they are not bad pretenders when you are heaving at the though of another dose of food loaded with garam masala and just want a bit of non spicey food. They even have cheese and Apple pies (not together ) !... More
