The place is small yet cozy.. The food is awsooooom... Its perfect for a brunch on Saturday or Sunday... Parking is an issue even though they have vallet parking, getting off itself is an issue because u have to get off with cars honking from behind... Over all a nice place yet a bit over rated.

The cocktails are fine. A perfect place to lounge around with friends. The food/tapas are tastefully and tactfully are designed to suit each palate. Lovely time. Worth the spend.

When we found that friends visiting from Delhi had not tasted Spanish food, the choice of the day’s lunch destination was made. It had to be Zara ! We went a bit early on that Sunday afternoon and found that the restaurant was a rather quiet place with just a couple of tables occupied. However, by about 1.30 the place... More

Many was the time in 2009 and 2010 when living Chennai, I would stroll down from the Hotel New Woodlands to Zaras Tapas Bar after a busy day working over by Ascendas IT Mall at STPI. Copper Chimney is right there too but the main destination was the Bar and the cold beer and the food. After a few trips,... More

Chennai's pubs have had a serious problem: the food is generally ok but everything else is great. Be it the music, alcohol or ambiance, most other places are good. When it comes to food, Zara scores. Slightly upmarket by Chennai standards, Zara is THE place for a drink and Spanish Tapas on any day, particularly weekends. There's no floor to... More

Better known for its evening crowd, Zara is the ultimate destination for tapas in Chennai. The weekday lunches are excellent VFM meals. The menu is well planned and the quality of food is consistently superb!! The ambiance is one of under-stated elegance and the service courteous and efficient.

I went on a Saturday night with my wife. The place was very crowded - reservation may be necessary for Fridays and Saturdays. Food was delicious - portion could be larger. Drinks menu was elaborate and cocktails were fantastic. Loud and nice music. Expensive but a wonderful experience.

First, make a reservation or else you may not get a place to sit. After going to 10D and drinking in certain joints on the OMR, the drinks menu and the music menu in Zaras (Tapas) is very refreshing. Highly recommended!
