Malayali food at its non-veg best. It's great malayali food particularly because a Syrian Christian family from Kerala runs it and they know their food. The beef is excellent (if u like coconut in ur beef, that is), the karimeen [green chromide] (a variety of overrated, heavily boned, flat, dark brackishwater fish) is well made. Eat, if u love Kerala,... More

If you want to taste Kerala food, this is the right place to go. Some of their best dishes are Karimeen Fry, Malabar fish curry, tomato soup and Malabar prawns curry.

Out here you get true value for money. The food is very reasonably priced and the quality is great. The Malabar parottas and egg Appams are my personal favorites. I have not only been here but also visited their other branches and I have always been pleased. The service might lack warmth but they make up with tasty food. Kerala... More

We have gone to this restaurant a number of times. The food is always spicy and tasty. The crab and karimeen are our all time favourites. But the staff are neither friendly nor warm. Though the food makes it one of our favourite places to eat, the atmosphere due to the cold staff does not make us feel like lingering.

It is one of the few typical Kerali Hotels of good standard. Fish dishes with coconut, main and side dishes prepared in coconut oil with its distinguishing aroma appeals many a non-Keraltes as well.

I went with my bro and wife, the ambiance and food was good. The rate also not bad, people who want to try out Kerala food can visit once. We ordered kari-meen gravey, 5 egg aapams, beef fry, prawn fry and we paid Rs.1258/-

Great tasting food. Staff are friendly and warm. Choice of cuisine is also good. Karimeen is highly recommended.

My first observation is tables are not that much clean with respect to the charges. Sea foods are limited. Pomphret fry and duck roast not available. Cury is bitter and strong sower in taste. In every item you will only get the taste of the spice used, insted of the item you ordered. Not preferable for north indians and visitors... More

The food at Kumarakom is good; especially the Parotta, Chicken gravy and starters are really good. The Mutton dishes would be more of bones and at times it would be only of bones than meat. Fish here is a must taste one. Most of the dishes are prepared in coconut oil, so peoples who don’t prefer coconut oil may find... More

Some of the food was good like Kareemeen and other sea food fried, but others like the Syrian fry beef, mutton dishes have some scope to improve, rotis and Indian breads are pathetic. Service? well its quite sad and feels more like self service. ambiance is shoddy but I must Give them all praise for the cost per person,
