Amazing quality - Persian meals at their best

I read some reviews and thought I should attend. Quality was superb. Without doubt the best Persian food outside Iran. Great host and atmosphere. Shiraz Art Cafe - 5 stars!

Love the place, ambience, food and most of all the personalised care we got! Food was authentic and mouth watering. The finishing touch with homemade lemon tea was simply superb! We went for the buffet spread that night. But i heard from my friends the A la carte menu has wonderful dishes to offer too!

Hi all. I have been travelling to Chennai since November 2005 on a regular basis. On one of my weekends in 2011 I stumbled across the Shiraz Art Cafe at the Art Village. Myself and 2 local friends took lunch in the garden and not knowing what to order, we left it to Nasrin to "feed us" we were absolutely... More

My Chennai-based best friends and I came across Cafe Shiraz accidentally on a sultry evening years ago when ~ hungry and tired ~ we were looking for a home-cooked meal within Cholamandal artists' village at Injambakkam. Charming Nasrin Karimi invited us in. As we settled down over icy guava-barley shavings in a never-ending (almost) glass and creamy hummus with pita... More

On a hot sultry Chennai afternoon, Shiraz Cafe would be one of my top picks for a respite. To start with, the juices served taste incredibly good (without sugars!!) & fresh. Love the way the owners play the hosts rather than just market the food. I am allergic to nuts & so they actually gave me an elaborate understanding of... More

Must Thank Nasreen and her Brother.. Home cooked food ..excellent ambience.. Twice on my holiday. .. Beautifully crafted food, merges with the artistic surroundings of Cholamandal. Ideal for those who love food, art and have the time.

This place is quite unique as it the dining area is setup in a vast garden and the cafe is within the cholamandalam artist village. The menu is mainly Irani and mediterranean which is one of my favorites. The servings are generous. Service is slow but as thr ambience was nice did not mind. Only minus was that the chairs... More

I was pleasantly surprised to know Chennai has a Persian restaurant! Went with my uncle today, and we tried their cakes and ice-cream. It's definitely authentic food, and the people who own it are terribly nice! The outdoor garden seating is wonderful, especially during Chennai's summers. There are beautiful stained glass works inside the cafe. Chetori means hello in Farsi,... More

This is the place I have been visiting every week for the past few months. Their ambience is great and they have most awesome Lemon Mint Tea I've ever tasted. The food is very good, but we have not yet ventured too much into anything other than the tea. We (3 of us) gulp in atleast 10-12 cups of tea... More
