This is by far the best place for a romantic dinner with your wife. The ambiance is excellent with some live karnatic music. The chef usually come to your table and ask for your preferences and make pretty good choices based on your preferences. Meen polichadhu is one of their favorite dishes. This restaurant serves high quality Indian food that is well prepared and well presented. In addition, it offers food from several parts of India and not just the South.
I did not expect much by way of veggie fare in a restaurant named Samudra, but I was in for a pleasant surprise. Very very helpful staff who give you good suggestions. Great Wine list. Their Dahi kabab was simply fantastic.
Was rushing for the airport and waiter made sure I get my fish in time (the restaurant only had one other guest though on a Sunday evening)
I was trying hard to remember the waiter names (Niti or a name that begins with a N) thanks to you!

Try the grilled fish of the day with ginger butter sauce....just awesome.
I had the butter paneer masala and it was perfect!
The food was light, wholesome and not very spicy. The chef came around later and ahsred some cooking tips !
Fish is the dish to try in this part of India. The chef Gobu is friendly and imaginative. The only snag was that I was just too tired to stay up to sample it all. I hope to return soon.
went there for a bite. Nice place and great food. Staff and so so and seemed like wannabes. But that did not hamper my experience there.
