We had stumbled through a lot of dusty alleys, dodging motorcycles and donkeys, and it was wonderful to sit down in a cool clean place, drink a beer, and eat tasty food. The dal makhani, cooked overnight in a slow oven, was great. I ordered everything I thought would be good together, then asked the stoic looking waiter if he... More

We found this restaurant fairly dark and difficult to see food and menus clearly. The service was brisk and helpful. The food was freshly cooked, but slightly dumbed down for the Western palate, which was a shame as it made it slightly bland. We had Reshmi Kebab which was good and isn't normally spicy, but the vegetable jalfrezi was disappointingly bland...nice veg used in it,.The... I love visiting and eating at old restaurants, this one was okay. They have a specialty menu item which is bbq lamb chunks, but they were out of it the day I visited. I ordered chicken tikka masala which was delicious but everything on the menu is on the pricey side.

Yet another of those once posh restaurants that all of us who grew up in Bharat get nostalgic for… Families met here as I guess they still do, but this is no longer an undiscovered neighborhood gem. Our acquaintance began on the wrong note when one of us found that the beer glasses set on our table were unwashed, with... More

As more reviewers write, this restaurant is immensely overrated. The setting is depressing, especially after having had outdoor and dinners in restaurants with spectacular settings. We found the service very average and the food quality below anything else we have had during our India vacation. We had to sent back our Tandoori Chicken as it was not properly cooked (be... More

I'd read about this restaurant in several tourbooks, so we decided to give it a try instead of eating at our expensive hotel. We took a tuktuk to get there, which was the most exciting and enjoyable part of the evening. The place was average in every way - decor, service, food. We felt we could have been in an... More

Average food with very average service. The foods taste has been refined for the tastes of international tourists. Also a very expensive place.

Mouth watering lal maas is their speciality. The service and ambience is excellent so the place tends to be a bit crowded. So reach ahead of time!

I was left completely and utterly disappointed with the quality of food at Niro's. The Dal Makhani, was as though it was two-three days old and overcooked! The paneer masala seemed to be paneer stewed in tomato puree - ugh! and the Navratan korma was simply a mele' of over-cooked/boiled vegetables, with some "masala"! You don't want to go to... More
