This restaurant came recommended by Lonely Planet but we found the food, staff and ambience decidedly plain and austere, strict even. Granted we never really got to grips with vegetarian thalis in our 3 weeks in India, so other diners might appreciate LMB more than we did and it did seem popular on the Friday evening we visited.

I liked the sweets at LMB but the Fini could have been much better in taste. The other sweet meats such as Paneer Ghewar were absolutely mouth watering though.

The restaurant is inside the LMB Hotel in the heart of the old city. After spending few hours in the chaos, frantic, noise, pollution and excitement of the market you can sit down in a fairly nice, perhaps busy, but relatively quiet and relaxed restaurant. The food is definetly good and the service as well. The restaurant is adjacent to... More

This review addresses the restaurant of LMB, not the hotel, as we were not guests of this facility. We did have lunch at LMB and selected it because of the high reviews on tripadvisor. We were gravely disappointed. Out of our two weeks in India this is our only experience of this type. I want to start with the most... More

The best place to taste the traditional rajasthani food. They serve a big thali with plenty of small bowls with all vegetables .Although the cost of thali is a bit high but its worth the price. Thali they provide is only for one and food is unlimited.

Popped in for a quick lunch with our Indian guide. Delicious snacks, eaten standing amongst the locals. Quick and cheap. Having read about the restaurant in advance we decided to head back for supper that evening; disappointed to say the least. Mediocre food, overly priced in comparison to its competitors, service that was rather stale from hosting too many tourists... More

This was on my "must do" list based on a number of tourist guides and websites who all seemed to sing praises of this place and it's alleged authenticity. We went there for a heavy evening snack on our first evening there - after visiting nearby hawa mahal. The service was not prompt nor was it courteous. The food when... More

I have heard lot of recommendation about there food, but was thoroughly disappointed with the taste and quality of food. Food was just ordinary, nothing great as such. I would still prefer Rawat over LMB.
