First some background some may find interesting. My step Grandfather, a Parsi, had a chef who was superlative. In addition to continental and Indian cuisine, he was an expert at Parsi food. His Dhansak was to die for. Of course, more a magician than a chef, he would never reveal his recipes. So with some time to spare from work... More

A unique experience, among all of the other unique experiences in Mumbai. The ancient owner takes your order himself, slowly writing down each word in painstakingly neat writing. If you are from the UK, beware! He will bend your ear for a good 10 minutes talking about his love of the queen and Britain!

The berry pulao has been the usp for the past few decades. The place could use a little bit of a revamp in the look. Though a years later I am sure this address will be as popular as it is today...

Their berry pulao is over rated and over priced. In fact some of the other items on the menu were really good although a bit expensive. Their marketing efforts are surely good.

I love eating here. The food here is lip smacking, finger licking delicious. Chicken berry pulav, patra ni macchi, salli mutton are just some of the amazing dishes you will eat here with the oh so soft chapatiis. Not to forget the Pallonji soft drinks. All this can be enjoyed with Mr. Kohinoor, the 93 year old owner who will... More

Yes, the Parsi food here is very good. Sali boti, chicken berry Pulau, Chicken Dhansak, Capati and Creme Caramel are all excellent choices. But the real attraction here is Mr Kohinoor, the owner who took almost 15 mins to take our order but kept us completely enamoured with his stories and absolute devotion to Queen Elizabeth. She's even written him... More

Been a regular visitor to Mumbai for business. I had heard about Britania for Parsi food. This visit i got an opportunity to have lunch here. Being week day and about 3 pm, it was relatively empty as i have heard about 20 to 30 minutes waiting on weekends. The moment you enter , you feel you are in bygone... More

Britannia was recommended by a friend who lived in Bombay for some time and it did not disappoint one bit. The place has so much charm and character you can feel that it's a Bombay institution and has iconic status with many happy customers. The only annoying thing is that it's only open for lunch and not dinner too. The... More
