Lunch here is absolutely not to be missed (it's only open from noon to 4 p.m.). Step back in time with the decor: I don't think it's changed much since it opened in 1923. And go soon: your order is taken by the 93-year-old owner, and his younger brother greets you at the door. Just order what they recommend, and... More

I had been here previously and took my husband and in-laws here to sample the delights. We got a table just before the lunch rush hour. Our waiter was sweet and polite, loved the old owner who went to every table and said hello. He showed us letters from someone who knew Hillary Clinton and he said he was her... More

Appearances can be deceptive is a truism at this almost a century old Parsi restaurant, that reportedly still imports its berries from Iran. A no-nonsense eatery that generations have sworn by. The seating is elementary, the hospitality is friendly and familiar, as would be extended to a family member, no fuss – only great food. The owners are omnipresent and... More

We hunted this place out which was so worthwhile. We arrived early before 12 (they open at 12 but managed to fit us in early). The decor is superb just what you expect. The service was amazing, the owner (who is now world famous) showed us letters from the queen and photos of him and British journalists. The food is... More

We have been visiting Mumbai for years and finally got a chance to try the Parsi food and experience at the restaurant. The restaurant has a charm and quirkiness that makes it an interesting experience especially the owner who works the room making it a personal experience. The stand out dishes for us were the Fish Patra, the Salti Boti,... More

This place is located in Colaba and opens for lunch. At times, you may have to wait for a table. The place is frequented by foreigners and Indians wishing to try a good Parsi lunch. Sali Boti was terrific, followed with Berry Pulao and Dhansak. Food is on the blander side. Service is super fast and the waiters help in... More

Today was my second visit to Britannia with a group of friends. On a Saturday afternoon the place was packed (like usual) with an average waiting time of 45 minutes. The family that runs this restaurant thoroughly enjoys what they do and probably want to change nothing about their place established in 1923. So you if you are a tourist... More
