Britannia is famous for its single trick berry pulav which is truly incredible. The daal with it matches so well and is worth the long wait at lunch times. Wish they always had a supply of mishti doi. The service is nice and friendly and the old world charm of the place adds to pleasure of eating there.

Visiting this restaurant is experience it self. Few options in Mumbai to get the authentic parsi food and one must visit this place to get a glimpse of this community food preferences. We ordered dhansak and fish patra with their trademark ginger drink. Food is different and has its uniqueness regarding taste depend on your liking. Service is exemplary woyh... More

the so called "beri-beri" biryani was nothing but a normal biryani with too much hiked price. Did not like the food nor the place or the atmosphere. The restaurant left me wondered as how it has become such popular for nothing! a complete no-no & I wouldnt wanna go again to Britannia as it is just a lower 3rd hotel... More

It's at Ballard Estate, a commercial hub of South Mumbai, with our harbour and docks at a stone's throw. Enter here, and you will be greeted by the active nonagenarian Mr Kohinoor, the grand old Irani man of the Café. He will win you over with his charms and flawless English. Humility personified, he will be happy to take your... More

Landed here on a Sat afternoon with a girl friend! Reached at about 12:30 so thankfully didn't have to wait for being seated! Had heard a lot about the famous Berry Pulav so ordered the mutton version, along with the fish patra & lime ginger & raspberry soda. The berry pulav was quite interesting, it had mutton boti as well... More

I had a mumbai trip and this place was touted as the place not to be missed.I reached there at 2.30 pm and saw an almost crumbling facade of a building. Inside its like sitting in an barber shop with lots of writeups. No air conditioning in the stifling mumbai heat .I ordered a mutton dhansak and a raspberry soda as... More

We were recommended to go to the Britannia Cafe by work colleagues and went there twice during a recent visit to Mumbai. Crumbling decor and no air conditioning make this an unusual choice but the food is fabulous. Both times I had the Veda berry pilau. We also had curried eggs - nearly had a double order of this -... Britannia Cafe is just terrific. I met Dr. Kohinoor who is the owner of the restaurant and he recommended Chicken Berry Biryani, caramel custard and ice-cream soda.. The food was great and the ice-cream soda is just out of the world. Thanks for a lovely experience.
