Brittania and Company is definitely larger than life. It has become more than Mumbai's most famous family run, old style Parsi cafe, it's a real experience. Mr Kohinoor, 92 years, engages customers with his experiences of famous visitors of state and his keen mind is great fun. We left with well wishes for Mr Abbott and a re-telling of a... More

One of the few remaining Irani Restaurants in Mumbai; Good Non Vegetarian Food; Very Quick Service; The Elderly Owner, approaching a proud Century, Mr Kohinoor, takes time to talk to you and ask about the food and tell some interesting stuff about his journey. Prices are high, something you want expect from the way the place is, its all about... More

Britannia & Company Restaurant - a different experience Whenever people visit Mumbai, they plan to visit Britannia & Company Restaurant along with the Gateway of India and Marine Drive. This restaurant has history of odd 90 years (established in 1923) and is one of the few remaining Irani Cafes in the city. You get a warm welcome by an old... More

I've been hearing about thins place since forever and finally happened to go there when an outstation friend visited me. The place was super packed and we had to wait more than hour! but it was worth the wait. Berry Pulav, Raspberry Soda and Caramel Custard are a must, must, must have!!!

V had the mutton berry pulao, a veg rice, a raspberry soda, an ice cream soda and the caramel custard. All were good but none exceptionally so except maybe the sodas. But the bill was quite fat. Good for a one time experience. Doubt I would go back there.

Food Ordered:- 1. Chicken Berry Pulav 2. Sali Boti 3. Rasberry Soda, Ice cream Soda & Ginger Spice soda 4. Caramel Custard Food Quality; Very new to Parsi cuisine, we could not find any fault, also the tenderness of the mutton (Sali Boti) added to the flavor. Berries in the Pulav were worth mentioning and the balance of spices in the... More

The atmosphere is nothing special about Britannia, except for maybe the quaintness. Don't let this fool you. The owners are both over 90, quick witted and sharp. They love what they do and chances are you'll see one of them in the restaurant. They are both Parsi and they know how to cook! If anything stop by just to order... More

"There is no love greater than the love of eating," declares the menu. Well, good food is certainly an enjoyable part of life, and in this regard Britannia and Co lived up to its well deserved reputation as the best Parsi eating house in Mumbai. We stepped over the threshold to be greeted with an enticing fragrance drifting rom the... More

But I will not have any issue trying it again. I went to this restaurant on my recent trip to Mumbai, based on the recommendation of a coworker. I am happy I went. My server was very helpful considering I didn't know what anything on the menu was. He suggested the Chicken Berry Pulav which is their most popular dish.... More
