This is the only sensible place, for a vegetarian family dinner, in the food mall at R-City, in the crowd of Junk Food Outlets. We end up here invariably for a heartful indian meal. Shwatra serves pure vegetarian dishes from Sindh, Kutch and Punjab, in a comfortable and hygienic setting. They have a long list of paneer dishes, which are... More

If you are a vegetarian and have not eaten here you must visit atleast once. This is the place I turn to when this meat-loving soul has to necessary eat north Indian vegetarian food (you see my wife is a strict veggie). I don't know why it is "necessary" but be as it may. The place is a no-frills restaurant.... More

Bhagat Tarachand is one of the fantastic kitchens in town and Shvatra continues that tradition. The food is reasonably priced and one always walks out satiated. The service has reduced a wee bit over time, but the food is awesome. We are regulars there and love the food here.

If you love Gujarati food, look no further. This is the best place for you at R City. Good: Food was awesome, specially makke do roti and sarso da saag. Try Rotlo as well. Chhash was superb. Reasonably priced. Expect 300-350 per person for a group of 9. Super fast service. Fully vegetarian restaurant. Best for family. Not-so-good: Waiting time... More

The waiting outside this restaurant is a good indicator of the food they serve. Excellent vegetarian food, all the dishes are well crafted, and made very simply. Some dishes are made with a lot of ghee, but then it says so in the menu if thats the case.

Very nice punjabi subziz. Everything I have tried so far is good. I specially like their Dal Fry ... which is a must have for me whenever I go there. Their USP is Spicial chapati in Ghee / Butter which is just awesome. Only at shwatra I take CHapati with Panjabi subzi instead of Nan / Kulcha. As much as... More

Not being a big fan of eating home-style North Indian food at a restaurant, I was in for a pleasant surprise at Shvatra. The food is delicious, less oily (except Butter Phulkas which is a must-have!) and a great eatery for people who have dietary restrictions or are just plain fussy. My grandmother who doesn't eat half a dozen things... More
