Authentic Kerala food

One of the best restaurant in mumbai, having authentic Kerala food. Fish & chicken curry is a must. Kari meen polichadhu is not as expected and value for money (500 rs). All other items are very good

The place is very cluttered, but the food overpowers everything else. They serve the thali/lunch on a plantain leaf which gives you the feeling of eating an Onam Sadya. Their parathas (Indian bread) are one of the best I've eaten. I had once ordered for the duck, but was extremely disappointed with the dish. Overall, a very good place for... More

This is the restaurant to go to when one craves for authentic Kerala food. On Sundays, one must go for the veg meal on the banana leaf. Another recommended option is to have Kerala Parota with Kerala Chicken (Dry Chicken Dish). Real VFM restaurant!

...worth it if you want to sample Keralan food in Mumbai. Don't compare to home cooked or the food in the state itself. Nice that they serve it on plantain leaves, upstairs was very cramped, with ACs blowing on our faces, but we went in a huge group and they really did a good job with service. Quick, clean, fast... We found this place because of the reviews, we were looking for somewhere near our hotel. If you are looking for luxurious surroundings, linen napkins or an extensive drinks list this is not the place for you. If you are looking for fabulous food, great service that makes you feel welcome and at ease among its regular customers, a place... More

Recommended by two other visitors. Excellent place to eat and great for the price. Right off D.N Road a block to the right of right Citibank and another block right. Meal cost Rs 175 and was big enough for two or three people. Sundays the Veg Thali Banana Leaf costs Rs 200 due to having more food. Everything else looked... More

Very popular with those looking for good some Kerala cuisine. Very conveniently located just off D N Road and fairly close the Fountain area. Not a big place. Simple furniture. Service is quick. Usually crowded with Mumbai locals and visitors from Kerala. Go just for the food.

Took a good while to find as we got completely lost. The restaurant was really nice, although the roof upstairs is really low - you have to duck. The food was amazing and so cheap. Not a very touristy area but somewhere worth the effort of finding.

My judgement of kerala cuisine has always depended on breakfasts; admittededly some of most healthiest breakfasts in the world belong to south-india, and it's not well-known! Kerala has a mind-boggling range of 'breakfast' items. My judgement of kerala cuisine, in general' has revolved around kerala porota-motta roast forever (it seems never available anywhere beyond 10 am!). Food from here, brought... More
