Ankur is a small restaurant which sits in one of the little lanes between Flora Fountain and the stock exchange. As in most restaurants in Mumbai, if you happen to arrive before 8 in the evening, you don't need a reservation. The six of us got a nice round table, and a waiter who made useful recommendatons. We tried the... More

It is a small non descript restaurant located in one of the bi-lanes of South Mumbai.. It is one of the best sea food places in Mumbai.. The food is mainly coastal with the most amazing selection of fish and prawns - which can be polished off with some neer dosas. I would suggest their Fish tekaddy, Kerala prawns, Prawn... More

Went there on recommendation of a friend who claimed it was better than Trishna. Yes. The decor. But the food was not and the selection was more limited. Pricing is about the same so? Next time, back to Trishna

I would start by saying Ankur amongst the best sea food places in Mumbai. I would rate it better than Gazalee for sure. Ankur, is unassuming, perfect for families and the food is great. We tried kerala chilli prawns, surmai tekkady and prawn curry with neer dosa. The prices are extremely reasonable. This and two bottles of kingfisher ultra cost... More

Fish Thekadi which was lightly spiced Small Pomfret which was excellent and fish Tikka (Ravas) which was juicy and very good. For Mains we had Fish Gassi and Neer Doss which were not bad.... More

This restaurant specialises in cuisine of Mangalore coast and is well known for its sea food. it's ambience is inviting .We checked in at the place for lunch and found it to be fully packed. Veg food was also very decent. I had a veg biryani . The service was excellent. only drawback was that it was relatively costly.

Good food, right off the starting blocks. And, the staff were very helpful in suggesting items off the menu based on what we told them we'd like to try. Good pricing too, and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Mumbai should come here, rather than go to a pretentious over-priced over-hyped place like Trishna.

This sea food restaurant is a hidden gem! The food is truly amazing, the service is polite & quick. You have a choice of ordering with alcohol. Ambience is very pleasant & cosy. For the excellent quality of fish, etc. the prices are good.

As you have read from other reviews, this place is hard to spot. But it is absolutely worth it. A friend of mine(who knows the owner of the hotel) took me to there saying it serves very good seafood. And I wasn't disappointed. I had Surmai Fry, Prawns Kerala style and a crab preparation(without shells), and Neer Dosa - all... More
