this is the best place to have the basic indian veg food, without a fuss, just pure and simple taste - ultimate bliss. my favourite: masala puri-extra crisp with potato veg and kadhi. add a couple of papads too. NO COMPETITION.

We saw a few reviews for this and decided to give it a go for lunch as we were touring this area. I'm so glad we did because it felt local and the food was good. Staff and locals couldn't have been any friendlier and a family helped us when the waiter asked us if we wanted the food hot... More

The owners and chefs are in the 5th generation. The restaurant is located at stones throw from CST station. The masala puri and potatoes are just mouth watering. The place can get easily overcrowded owing to its small size. A must visit in South Mumbai.

We went for the 100 Rupee Thali and it was phenomenal! In addition to the wide variety, it's served with this green bread that was absolutely delicious. Even the papad was great. That staff were very friendly, too! I highly recommend it, especially since it's on a vibrant street and at an affordable price.

I have visited this place several times and feel like coming back for more..., but mind you- this is more of a low-end, crowded, old-city kind place. Amazing Poori (plain and masala), aloo bhaji..bhopla (pumpkin), amazing kesar lassi...this place is >130 yrs old and amazing value for money (speacial thali for 120 bucks including all vegetables, 4 pooris, rice and... Happened to be in CST area on Sunday, went to Aaram, it was closed. Suvidha closed. Every good restaurant closed. As a last chance tried Pancham ...Lo and behold... Ample parking and signature hot plate of Puris and Potato & Pumpkin Bhaji. Bill Rs. 45 only. Great

I didn't realise that I was staying this much close to Pancham Pooriwala... It was best poori - I've ever had. Quality, Cleanliness and Quantity..everything at one place...There was 1 framed cutting hanging on 1 wall - '5 Generation of Quality Poori' so curiously I asked owner how old this shop is: - he smiled and mentioned - 164 years...
