We went for the 100 Rupee Thali and it was phenomenal! In addition to the wide variety, it's served with this green bread that was absolutely delicious. Even the papad was great. That staff were very friendly, too! I highly recommend it, especially since it's on a vibrant street and at an affordable price.

I have visited this place several times and feel like coming back for more..., but mind you- this is more of a low-end, crowded, old-city kind place. Amazing Poori (plain and masala), aloo bhaji..bhopla (pumpkin), amazing kesar lassi...this place is >130 yrs old and amazing value for money (speacial thali for 120 bucks including all vegetables, 4 pooris, rice and... I didn't realise that I was staying this much close to Pancham Pooriwala... It was best poori - I've ever had. Quality, Cleanliness and Quantity..everything at one place...There was 1 framed cutting hanging on 1 wall - '5 Generation of Quality Poori' so curiously I asked owner how old this shop is: - he smiled and mentioned - 164 years... There are some places hidden like treasures within tiny lanes of every city all around the world, which has withstood the change of times but still managed to stay the same. Pancham Puriwala is one of those places for Mumbai. Well I had heard a lot about the same from my husband and was certainly waiting to try the famous... More
