Very good konkan food ( try the thali )

Very good konkan food. Their curries are very good & so is their malabar paratha. I ahve also tried their thali which is good to try if your hungry. Their desserts - jalebi & their paan shots are quite a good end to a hearty meal.

Maybe it's because I'm not familiar with Konkan cuisine, but I wasn't swept away with the food at this very atmospheric and well-decorated restaurant. The portions seemed small. Maybe we were supposed to order as though it were a tapas restaurant?

Konkan Cafe has been a family favorite for more than a decade now. Chef Ananda Solomon's signature fish and coastal dishes are replicated to perfection here - the subtle differences in ingredients and flavours in the goan, manglorean, Tamil and Keralite dishes explode in your taste buds. Mop all these curries up with spongy soft Appams. Heaven.

Love the food at this restaurant of the Taj President. Staying next doors have visited Konkan Cafe many a times. Have mostly had the Sea Food Thali. The Appams the stew, the prawns and the fish are delicious. Have never gone back disappointed.

The Taj President is next door to where we stay but that's not why we frequent Konkan Cafe. At least once a month. The menu is thoughtfully designed with equal importance given to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. What is great about this Konkan place is that the spices are never in your face rather they so well blend in... More

We ate in the Indian Restaurant – excellent service – staff who could guide those of us who did not understand Indian Cuisine. We chose a set "Indian" meal and we offered a range of dishes. I noted that I did not appreciate hot/spicy foods (I know we were in Indias!). So the waiters explained something about each of them,... More

Read the TA reviews are this place did not disappoint. We arrived on Sunday for lunch and it was pretty empty, but the service and food were both excellent! Decor is nice and by the re we were finishing the place was getting more crowded. We had the fish in banana leaves and the first semi-dry chicken curry - both... More
