Highly recommend this joint

I ahve been eating at Martins for more than 20 years. Their taste has been the same and the food is absolutely delicious. Service is quick, prompt and attentive. Food is very reasonably priced. Must try their chilly fry, vindaloo, chicken curry and the caramel custard. Tip: This place is open only... read more

This place is highly recommended by the regulars. However I have tried this place couple of times and didn't find the food to be good. I tried the Prawns Pulao and the Goan Sausage Fry.. Haven't tried the other Goan dishes like Vindaloo, Sorpotel so I will revise my rating after trying these items..

New martins gets the best of Goa on your place. It's a quaint place tucked in the corner of colaba market. Their pork vindaloo is to die for and is an all time favorite. I also tried the soup, which was worth the money.

Small dingy restaurant serving Goan specialities near Colba market, I found the food too hot but my Dad went crazy and ordered a second helping of the pork, he simply loved the place. It is very good value for money!

Been visiting this place since my college days. Economical is a characteristic that tops the lost. But the food really is what keep one coming back for more. The pork vindaloo is my all time favourite. The steak is pretty good too. Even all the seafood just add to the feel of really eating in a shak on the beach... More

One of my favourite places that I have been visiting for close to 2 decades The staff are still the same and always greet me with a big smile and ask me what I would prefer between my 2 favourite dish-Goan Sausage Chilli Fry or Pork Vindaloo The Goan Sausage has tamed down its spices over the years, but still... One of my suppliers suggested we went for lunch here. When he said 'Martin's', I had an idea of a plush touristy place. How wrong was I. The Restaurant is tiny - half a dozen tables with wooden bench seats and a very limited selection. Appearances can be off-putting. I had a Pork Vindaloo, my colleagues had a Chicken Vindaloo... Heard of New Martin for a long while and could finally make it. A small joint - no frill, in fact crammed tables - and a limited menu. Serves only staple Goan stuff like vindaloo, sorpotel and chicken/fish fry and a few more items. Don't go expecting other Goan delights like cafreal, xacuti, recheado or even the stuffed fish. Desert... More

I was really excited when a friend suggested this authentic Goan restaurant. The highlight was the fabulous Pork Sorpotel with pao (of course) at this tiny Goan place! Ended up ordering almost one portion of each dish on the menu... Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
