It is only once in a while when one comes across a dining experience which is so simple yet classic. Maharashtrian cuisine in its most authentic form can be enjoyed at Aaswad. What surprises me though is the inclusion of South Indian snacks and stuff like Pizzas, sandwiches, South Indian etc on the menu. The local cuisine is fantastic by... More

This centrally located, Maharashtrian food restaurant is in the heart of city i.e. Dadar. True to it's name AASWAD, the taste of food you get here is EXCELLENT. Real value for traditional Marathi food items. A real TREAT for whole family, as one can choose any dish from it's big menu. The prices don't dig a big hole in your... More

I visited Aaswad almost everyday during college days to have my breakfast after tutions. During that time they converted it into AC restaurant. The price of food items are extremely light on the pocket and if you visit do try the Maharashtrian food items and the diet items on the menu.Service is quick and the food is great.

The food is as original as it gets. Must try is the dalimbi usal and bharli vangi which are almost perfect. Piyush is recommended though chapatis are on down side. Masala bhaat is a full dish in itself well served with veg and kadhi and papad. Prices are as realistic as they can be. Dont bother about anything around you... More

Have been regularly visiting Aaswad when ever i go for shopping in dadar. Aaswad is one of the few restaurants which serves authentic veg Maharastrian food in a reasonably comfortable environment. My favorites here are Misal Pav (When I want to eat spicy), Sabudana Khichadi (when I am fasting and at times when I am hungry), Poha (when I'm on... More
