We have been visiting this restaurant, in Vile Parle, since it opened more than 15- 20 years ago. Now Mr Shetty has opened 6- 7 branches, incl one in Singapore- where, he claims, even their prime minister patronises!! Gajalee has an extensive variety of sea food- my favourites being fish tikka, clams, bombll fry, solKadi, fried bass, shark masala, etc.... More

If you are looking for sea food, then Gajalee is the best one. I have been visiting this restaurant from last 7 years. The quality of food, taste and service has been getting better every time. The price is also very reasonable.

Had lunch at Gajalee Phoenix. Granted it was a Sunday, but we had booked a table earlier. Service was lousy, food was average at best, and to be very very honest, I won't be going back again. I found a better restaurant for my seafood fix called Trishna, where they pay attention to the customer, and helpings are better sized.

The restaurant serves the standard cuisine of Malvan, predominantly non-vegetarian. Enjoyed the Sol Kadhi, a pink colored appetizer drink made from the kokam fruit and Coconut Milk, it was very soothing. The Bombil fry too was a hit. There was a prawn curry which had raw mango in it. I would love to drop in the next time I am... More

Let me just say, I've had better sea food ... or maybe I did not order right. Just average... don't think I would visit again or recommend.

Good food always uplifts my mood. Whenver I feel low or depressed I always think about great food. One place where you will get great food and service consistently is Gajalee. First things first. If you do not eat non vegetarian food do not even bother anywhere close to this place. If you like do not eat / like seafood... More
