Average food, way overpriced. Overcharged for drinks. Getting back to the city a pain and the hotel workers asked 500 rupees for the ride.

A stay at the Lalitha Palace Mahal is an absolute MUST when visiting Mysore. It was absolutely stunning, as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside!Felt like I was transported back in time to the British Raj.Service is great too and their restaurant is definitely the highlight. We were lucky to get a great deal on the price and... Stunning Dining room but remove the Claustrophobic curtains. Don't choose from the menu, ask the main guy what he has that's fresh-chicken curry & spinach aloo & fresh, hot rotis. The breakfast was even better-hot puri-baji, excellent ginger tea & lots of fresh fruit to start with. You won't get this in the corporate 5star properties. Extraordinary garlic bread- better... A beautiful landmark slightly away from the city center. It has all the ambience of a palace and is beautifully lit at night. The food served is awesome. The service is professional.

Located inside this 5-star hotel everything about this restaurant is amazing. You get the old world feel going through the beautiful and expansive lobby to the restaurant. The restaurant itself has soaring 30 feet ceiling with stained glass domed skylights. The tables are spread apart for lots of space. We started with the shrimp cocktail, aloo chat and the fruit... OMG, where to start?!? On first impressions this a beautiful setting for fine dining in a maharaja's palace. However this conceals a right royal mess of a restaurant that operates it's own divide and rule policy. If you are staying at the hotel you get to choose from an a la carte menu and get prompt and attentive service. If... More

The palace is huge on a hill top. Beautiful and well maintained. The garden and pool at the back is beautiful. The restaurant is also big.

A great place to step back in time. It feels like the place hasn't changed since it was built in the 1920's. It's really worth a visit to soak up the atmosphere. Second time we have eaten there and the food was excellent. Service very good too - we thought it would be nice to eat outside under the veranda... More

If you enjoy south indian food, that too served in fine silverware in an authentic maharaja style, this is the place to go in Mysore. I am sure you won't be disappointed.
