Hi, I went there in the April , and eat Tanduri chicken and butter chicken. The tandoori was overall good but butter chicken is not upto the taste as they have very big pieces of chicken in it. I think its not upto the mark as the Highway on my plate TV Show chhose this hotel.
It is a hotel in shimla on the mall... there is a controvery since there are 2 hotels by the same name and both call itself to be the original ...so one has to choose himself and rest is your luck
Food of our choice is available but price is to high to afford for even a economy traveller. One should be careful before order food in this type of Dhaba or Restaurant.
The place is full during meal times but being a turist destination, that could be a misguidance and indeed it was !!
The place is not very clean and the owners don't seem to care about it as it is selling well.
One could have ignored that if the food was any great...the Butter Chicken was more of a mix...

We stopped by here each time we passed by just to have a hot Gulab Jamun. They were delicious and priced at just rs 15/- it was one of the highlights of Mall Road in Shimla. The tea was also awesome, made from wholesome milk.
This was just an average place - food average, service average, cheap though. Two old shers of punjab sitting at the proprietors chairs eyeing the clientele suspiciously and reading news papers. haha. Good for a break after a long walk on the mall road, but could find better, though more expensive places.
We were looking for some traditional punjabi food as the hotel food was getting boring. I recommend this place for people who love punjabi food (authentic, not the street dhabas). Perfect setting and ambience for people who like enjoying a good meal.
The place located on mall road is utterly unhygienic and clumsy. We visited on some friend's recommendation however the actual thing was way below what you'd expect. the service is poor as is the food.
