Wanted something non indian for a lunch so came to cafe sol. It was very warm in there and sefved us warm glasses for our cold drink. Other than these couple of small niggles everything else was really good. We ordered vegetarian pizzas and they only took 10 minutes to arrive. They were only... read more

Easy to miss as it is set back off the Mall, but well worth a visit, especially if you fancy a change from Indian food. Good selections of pasta and salad dishes.

Really good food (and a good range of drinks) especially if you fancy a break from Indian cuisine. A bit pricier than other Indian restaurants, but inexpensive compared to western prices. Use the lift to go to some of the loveliest toilets in town!

Fabulous location - recommend that if you plan to come to this cafe then take the lift directly up in the hotel lobby next to the tourist lift. Its free and you dont have to wait in queue by the tourist list to get to the mall. From the restaurant you just walk out to the mall road. The food... More

This place easily has it in it to become the best multi cuisine restaurant in Shimla. It has the luxury of a lot of space (it is one of the largest eateries I would have seen in Shimla) and also the location (next to the tourist lift). Veg arabiatta pasta, veg pizza, the nachos platter and the grilled chicken were... More

Pretty good place to chill with family and friends but not as exciting as other cafe's .... Costly to the core and not for people with a low cost budget !! In the end a nice place to just have a soup in the beautiful moonlight !!

It is a lovely place where you can sit, relax and enjoy some great food. You can have a beautiful view of the hills around. Definitely a cafe to visit when you wonder around the mall road.

By far the best restaurants in Shimla. The food is contemporary, flavors authentic and menu never ending ;). They need to work on the ambiance a lot more - it comes across as average especially given the prices they charge for it.

Cafe Sol is at one end of The Mall in Shimla, You need to go down a few steps, and there is signboard on The Mall proclaiming its name, so do ask around. It has the usual mix of Italian and Mexican fare with the focus on being an up-market cafe, rather than a serious foodie restaurant. We had a... More
