Very good food - some dishes are a bit too oily though. The service is quick but be prepared to wait for more than half an hour for a table.

Karim's is a rightly famous darbah in Old Delhi near the Jama Masjid mosque. They do a range of grilled meats, breads, and gravies served in the old school way. This is traditional Old Delhi without the major risks associated with some of the less reputable darbahs. We had a very tasty lunch of tandoori seekh kabab and mutton burra... More

I visited this place with some of my friends, as usual it was very busy and we need to wait for 15 mins to get our table buy that's worthy if you want to enjoy traditional muglai food. Like- Food, Taste and service. Dis like- crowdy and nearby parking space.

We seen tripadvisor and google and wow we thought this must be awesome. We first tried the mutton biryani and it was so bland. There was literally no meat, just bones. I then decided I couldnt eat it, and ordered a paneer masala type dish. This too was disappointing. Tasted like the sauce was just made of tomato sauce and... More

After finding the famous Karim restaurant, i must admit as a chef I was impressed with the set up style tandoori oven outside, I was really excited ! I ordered mutton curry and my girlfriend ordered chicken saag. As we waited cockroaches surrounded our table. And they wiped up swiftly with a very dirty cloth the littered table we where... More

The guide book said it's a Delhi institution - it was a fantastic experience. Came round from the Spice market on a tuk tuk which dropped me at the top of the road where Karims can be found. It's great value, the menu is fabulous and it has a mixture of tourists like me and local people all tucking into... More

Everyone recommended going to Karim's, and it's not bad. It's just not that good either. Go for lunch when you are in the area. Focus on the shish kabobs rather than other meat offerings.

I saw this restaurant on a BBC programme called 'Rhodes across India', and decided to find this place on a trip to India. The food is exceedingly good and the people are very hospitable. Words cannot describe the food; you have to eat it to realise it (especially the mutton burra kebab). This is the real art of cooking and... More

Every Delhi city guide recommend this restaurant, so I thought it will be crowded or expensive. It was nor crowded nor expensive. Food was very good, atmosphere nice, lot of locals eat there also. A bit hard to find.
