In a small crescent of New Delhi, packed between houses of under secy's lies a stretch of land famous for its Butter Chicken and Brain Curry - for people acquainted with New Delhi, this is almost synonymous to The Pindi Restaurant. The Pindi charm has not diminished over the years. Defying traditional business calculations, which put the lifespan of a restaurant at 5 to 10 years, Pindi, which serves hearty Punjabi cuisine, has been around since 1952. Shri K L Wadhwa, its founder had a vision for Pindi which has been carried out successfully through generations. With delicacies like Butter Chicken, Dal Peshawari & Kashmiri Kebabs and specialty dishes like Brain Curry, Keema Kaleji and Mutton Burra Kebab, Pindi is really about GOOD, FINGER LICKING FOOD!

Recently visited Pindi with a group of friends and ordered for our regular favourites. ...but the food was not the same. We were little disappointed as Pindi has always been a name to swear by. Guess the head chef has changed or they have customised their dishes to "foreign" clientele.. Hope they improve. ....

We were visiting New Delhi and Agra as a "bucket list" items during the end of November 2015. Our taxi driver said that this was a well known restaurant serving "excellent" food. Two of the four were vegetarians. The food was the usual Indian fare. The taxi driver and myself tried chicken masala with nan. Overall the food was just... More

I was told by some locals that the thalis were very good in this restaurant, but when I arrived, I was told they didn’t do them which I thought rather strange. I persisted as I couldn't believe the locals had got it wrong....and thankfully, the owner said it was OK to give me a thali. It was 450 Rs for... More

We went to Pindi for dinner with family.while waiting we got a chance to meet the Owner of the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised & impressed by the humbleness of the Gentleman. really enjoyed always delicious food & sweet nature of Owner & staff. Food & people both are great.

So we were on our second day of touring in Delhi and the guide took us to this very busy little restaurant for lunch. We had some tandoori chicken, mixed vegetable dish, the guide had some paneer with chapatis, some drinks, food very tasty, all clean and good atmosphere, came to £15 for the three of us, would recommend it!

We had lunch at Pindi's in December 2015. This would be in the top 3 meals we had in our 2 week trip in India. It is not a mid-range restaurant though in terms of price despite what your guide or guidebook may say. We ordered 3 dishes and paid about $70 AUD. We are happy to pay for good... More
