Description: In a small crescent of New Delhi, packed between houses of under secy's lies a stretch of land famous for its Butter Chicken and Brain Curry - for people acquainted with New Delhi, this is almost synonymous to The Pindi Restaurant. The Pindi charm has not diminished over the years. Defying traditional business calculations, which put the lifespan of a restaurant at 5 to 10 years, Pindi, which serves hearty Punjabi cuisine, has been around since 1952. Shri K L Wadhwa, its founder had a vision for Pindi which has been carried out successfully through generations. With delicacies like Butter Chicken, Dal Peshawari & Kashmiri Kebabs and specialty dishes like Brain Curry, Keema Kaleji and Mutton Burra Kebab, Pindi is really about GOOD, FINGER LICKING FOOD!

I ordered Chicken masala and garlic naam. I have also tried Chicken tandorii. Both dishes were very excellent. It tasted so good. Highly recommended!

It was baking hot outside and as we stepped into the restaurant, it was almost we were in Iceland. The air conditioning was fantastic, so was the atmosphere. The restaurant specialises in Indian and Chinese cuisine. The food we ordered wasn't tasty as we expected, we have far better Indian restaurants in London for the same price we paid! Our... More

Book in advance if you wish to have dinner at the Indian dinner time. After 08.30 pm gets packed pretty quick. Tandoori items are a hit and so is the Biryani. Portions are for sharing. Skip the tea and coffee. For dessert go to the shop outside selling a variety of Kulfi including a sugar free variety.

My guide took me to this little out of the way place for lunch. It was 41 degrees C & I thought that it might be one of those dodgy places with ceiling fans that judt made the room less stifling. Absolutely not. I walked into a beautifully decorated air conditioned restaurant. After agonizing over what I should get I... More

Nice, clean comfortable place. The restuarant is located in a place where sufficient car parking space is available. The restuarant basically has only rwo varieties of food.North Indian and Chinese cystine. food is tasty but on the expensive side taking into consideration the portion size. We had ordered for North Indian fusing. The service is good, did not have to... More

The restaurant had been a favourite with diners and there was always a long waiting period with many people waiting to get a table. But for the last couple of years, I noticed that another restaurant was always crowded while Pindi remained empty. Those who didnt get a table at the other restaurants went to Pindi. And then this restaurant... More

Fabulous food, no frills. If you want North Indian food, then Pindi's is the place to go. Thankfully food is unchanged since I started going there in the 1960s. Forget the fancy restaurants - have the real deal.

I was in Delhi but had never really been a fan of Indian food. My driver recommended Pindi and I would never had found the place otherwise. Since the place is known for butter chicken, I decided to have that along with some garlic naan. The chicken was brought out in a large glass bowl and the waiter spooned some... More

A nice place, very near to India Gate and Zoo. So after a half day long tour at ZOO in Delhi, we have have a nice lunch at this place. Offers both veg and non-veg and a known place since ages. I used to come here when i was 4 and still hangs in some time.
