TURTLE BOOK CAFE- Haven for Book readers and food lovers

In the busy hustle and bustle of South Delhi, finding a spot as peaceful and calming is almost like a dream you don't want to end. It is situated directly above Full house bookstore and serves as a haven to both vegetarians and book lovers. I brought this long awaited book of mine and chose a... read more

We stopped here for lunch. First I washed my hands in their washroom which was clean. It is above a bookshop with great priced books. We had a couple of fresh coconut juices and some other fruit juices. I had a pasta spinach dish and my wife some wraps. If cost all up US$25. A bit pricey but good food,... More

I don't believe this cafe does Chinese, as the trip advisor listing says, but it does do a lot of other foods well. Went here on a short shopping trip, it came recommended and didn't disappoint. Great place to get a break from the heat and in a lovely book store with responsibly priced books in English. We bought a... More

Cafe turtle is a small too cozy place to share a coffee with or simply with your favorite book. Highlight of the place is its library, which makes it a favorite place for book-lovers. It only has vegetarian food though. Must visit for its relaxing ambience!

As regular visitors to Delhi, we have become regulars here too! A friendly welcome, a great vegetarian menu, and amidst the pre-monsoon heat, a cold coffee or a bowl of one of the cold soups, certainly helps.

Having a cafe right above a bookstore is close to my idea of heaven. The food was delicious, (all the menu options we saw were vegetarian) and the service was friendly and quick. Prices seemed reasonable. Wish we could've had time for the desserts, they looked so tempting! Location is within a short walk from a metro station, right in... More

Good place if you want to feel as if you aren't in India. Everyone around me was speaking English, even the Indians. Sort of a weird thing. Lots of British and Australian ex-pats. Felt a little like a San Francisco cafe/bookstore. Good drink menu. San Francisco prices. Air-conditioning. Makes for a nice change.

This is a very nice and cozy coffee shop atop a library with many interesting books. It is a very nice spot to do some reading / studying. It has a beautiful view and an outdoors area on a balcony. We didn't really try the food but they had sandwiches, salads and mains that sounded interesting. We tried their fresh... More

I come here often whenever I come to Delhi. this place also has a bookstore on the floor below, which in my opinion is the best in Delhi. the food here is good and the menu has many options which are clearly thought out and different from other places. although a little heavy on the pocket, one wouldn't mind coming... One never gets tired of going to Cafe Turtle. Its a place where one can be really comfortable and feel contented. The food is very global and consistently good but not outstanding and that is what I like about the place. Nothing is extravagant or showy, its simple, fresh,, elegant and cosy. Lovely place to get away from cafes which... More
