The Spice Route is a very unique restaurant located in The Imperial Hotel in New Delhi. The detailed and colourful wall paintings and decor are a unique feature of this restaurant and took 7 years to complete. The fusion menu offers varied dishes from the South East Asian region as well as the Indian regional cuisine. The dishes are varied... More

I have been coming to this restaurant for about thirteen years now. I can't really decide if the food still impresses me as much as it did back then. While still an excellent kitchen doing really lovely coastal Indian cuisine as well as some South East Asian fare it is also the typical kind of five-star food that has been... More

This is my second visit The restaurant has an " interesting " decor , although not to my taste. It seems that it has been fabricated to appeal to Tourists , who may have never travelled to SE Asia before. I have seen many such theme restaurants in my travels and they are normally without natural light and the investment... More

We all got very ill from eating here. Three weeks later and I have not fully recovered. Could not eat much more than plain rice for our three week holiday and I lost a lot weight

Over a period of time this place has just not evolved. They live on their past glory. Highly overpriced food but the rip off is wine. You can do much better in other places in Delhi.

This is one of the best restaurants in India for South East Asian cuisine. It gives you a feel of visiting an art museum where you can have great food and perfect ambience for the evening. loved their collection of indian and pakistani cuisine. chicken peshawari is a must eat here. Loved their collection of papads n chutneys which are served as complimentary with the food. One should definitely come here if one wants to indulge in authentic hindustani cuisines.

My husband and I ate here as part of our honeymoon trip to India. I am always cautious about hotel restaurants but with the Conde Nast recommendation we had to give this a try! The decor is great, I cannot deny, however, as it is located in The Imperial, it is expensive. Because of the spices used, I found most of the meals on the menu, were SE Asian, mainly Thai. I opted for a Indian curry, however, rice was not included! It has to be ordered as a separate meal! Several other meals... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for appreciating the décor of The Spice Route. I originally shied away from eating at this restaurant during our stay at The Imperial. We live in Singapore so didn't want Thai and Malaysian food (which we get plenty of). But, they actually had a great selection of Southern Indian food which was all delicious. We were here on Republic Day, so no alcohol, but we substituted with a... More
