Gung is known for its authentic Korean ambience and cuisine and is definitely the best Korean joint in Delhi. The first thing that one notices is the ambience, with traditional Korean private dining room, which virtually transports you to Korea. The food is equally delicious with authentic Korean flavors. This is a typical run problem with expat run places in India. While the expats themselves are very friendly and humble, their Indian Managers suffer from the 'White Man' syndrome, thinking themselves to be superior to the Indian customers who walk in. Having said that I am happy to tolerate the manager of Gung, any number of times for the... More

Returned from down under recently and had enjoyed Korean food a lot there. Took a friend to try this place for the same. But unfortunately the food was very sad and below average. Ordered Korean fried chicken which was very sad. It tasted like sweeter version of chicken pakora. Also ordered spicy grilled pork which was originaly supposed to have... More

Had some friends from France and they wanted to go to a nice Korean restaurant. Gung palace was the only authentic Korean restaurant, where I could take them. I have been here before but yesterday as reached around 6.30 pm (they open at 6 pm) got an amazing reception as being the first customers. The service was perfect The food... More

Had a weekend dinner at 10 pm at Gung. The place had quite a few Korean guests enjoying their dinner and smoke. We ordered bibim bab and jjang pong (soup dish of sea food, veg & noodles). The servings came along with complimentary side dishes (6 of them) with khimchi etc. We felt , later on, that for two of... More

Had a few visiting Japanese colleagues and wanted to invite them for dinner. Chose Gung after short deliberation. Visited the place and found the ambience very good. The staff was slightly less attentive. We ordered settled down and soon the complimentary side dishes were brought to the table. Each of them were cooked beautifully. We had one Korean lady too... Attended a conference in Delhi and noticed the Korean stand was ordering take out and eating like emperors at lunch time. The conference food looked crap in comparison. Got the address details and tried dinner with a group of equally hungry and under fed conference people. In summary we loved it and it makes for a pleasant change. You have... More

Some people might even go as far as saying that Gung is authentic since it is run by Koreans, however, I felt that it was not tasty at all. I felt that the veggies were stale and overcooked, the kimchi was way too spicy and inedible, pork was over and under cooked in parts. We had the veg bibimbap and... More

I have been visiting Gung since the past year almost on a monthly basis, and have ordered a variety of items on the menu. Everything tastes great here and I have never been dissapointed. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but the experience is worth it. A tip, order the Plum Soju along with your meal, its sweet, and be... More
