I am surprised to see that one of the members has written that getting a chance to gain entry is still problematic at Saravana Bhavan, at peak hours. the idlis, appams, set dosa all are my favourites ....chutney n sambhar so authentic i hv not had anywhere else in delhi .....i luv their chutneys....and the sounf served in end is soo different we luv this place...must visit if u luv south indian food...
it is most satisfying meal, but beware of going in peak time, as queues might be long. But, once you settle down and start your meal, there is no end to your belly satusfaction. Surely, try the desserts - worth it.
We have been to Sarvana Bhavan for breakfast many times and always come back happy with the experience. A well served wholesome and a tasty South Indian food. My personal favourite is the 14 idlies which come dipped in sambar with a glass of butter milk

I have been eating here a lot and I really love the food here especially the Dosas. They give you a feel of authentic south indian food with their numerous chutneys which just add to the taste buds delight.
the place is no frills but serves excellent south indian cuisine. true value for money. the staff is very efficient.
