The Chocolate tour here was the highlight of our time for sure!! Sure the beaches are great, but Up in the Hill's chocolate tour was AMAZING! It really made me at a loss for words. It was so interesting learning about the chocolate process -- and really amazing to taste the cacao at each step, starting with the fruit right... More

This place is great! We stayed two nights in their cabin (book through Airbnb.com) and ate breakfast at the coffee shop. Coconut chocolate milk fresh eggs and amazing banana cake are a must. Left with a smile, fresh coffee beans, and home made organic cacao balls. Don't let the hike keep you away, it was easy!

This place is quite the oasis after a quick (not so easy) hike from the main street on Bastimentos. I couldn't decide between hot chocolate with coconut milk and coffee so the owner suggested the mocchiato with coconut milk ($4) and banana cake ($3) - wow!! Personally, I loved the banana cake so much I hiked up the next day... More

So the walk up is sweaty but the view and the chocolate milk make it with it! We also are the natural truffles which I thought more of a no-bake cookie but amazing.

I love it here! The menu really is a showcase of the how amazing vegetarian and vegan cuisine can be. The food is fresh, healthy and extremely tasty. It's not just about the food here though, the views through the dense greenery and out across the waters of Bocas Del Toro are magical and perfectly complement the already zen vibe... More

The hike is great - wear hiking boots as the paths are quite muddy. The owners have positioned excellent wayfinding signage and you can vary your hike approaching from and leaving in different directions - lots to see. At the top enjoy a coffee or smoothie and I recommend the brownies....purchase some chocolate - bring $25

We went to Up in the Hill to make one of their chocolate tours. It was a truly amazing experience. The owners are very knowledgeable and have so many interesting insights about permaculture to share. We found it simply amazing. After a two hour tour, we were welcomed back with fresh, hand made brownies, coconut water, and delicious food and... More
