Best food on the Island!

My boyfriend and I went to the Om Café on our first day in Bocas and no other restaurants afterwards even could compete! Maybe we just were craving Indian food badly but we were both very impressed. This is the best Indian I've ever had, anywhere (full disclosure: Ive not yet visited India). We... read more

why in the world the best Indian food we ever had is located the a island in panama? The spice is perfect. Fish is super fresh. Also try one of a kind lasse. Stick with fish since they are catch of the day. The secret of their success is lack of using heavy cream in the sauce. Usually Indian resturant... More

We came here twice for dinner and each time the food was amazing! Coming from the UK we're big fans of 'British-Indian' curries and this was one of the best dishes we've had since we came to South and Central America seven months ago. There's a lovely balcony outside and the place is nicely decorated.

This was a surprise, really good Indian food in Bocas Town. We eat Indian food a lot and if this was in the UK it would be on our list of favourite places to eat. There were even dishes that I'd not tried before.

I am Indian and this was better than most places I've eaten Indian food in the USA. surprising since i saw very few indians in town. they have cheesy names for the indian food (which might offend some), but when you taste the food you'll quickly forget all that. We had chaat, kerala style fish curry, lassis, aloo matar panner,... More

the food and ambiance was excellent, and we had a patio table that overlooked the street, for some good people watching. Seems like one of hipper places to be in Bocas Town.

The staff here was very friendly, and it was interesting that none of the staff members (except the owner) was Indian. I spoke to the owner in detail and was very impressed with the story of the cafe's foundation. It is a wonderful place to just sit back, work/read/socialize while waiting on your order, and enjoy some tasty and flavorful... More

We love Indian food and found Om Cafe to be one of the best places we have eaten. Great flavours, spices and nice atmosphere.

I'm from Vancouver so I know what good Indian food is supposed to taste like...this place was great when it was located above the bookstore..now it's mediocre at best,my channa masala tasted like they dumped a bucket of salt on it and the portions where way smaller than before with a higher cost. I hope they figure it out and... More

Overall the place had a great aesthetic, a nice vibe and fresh ingredients - that being said, the food wasn't all that flavorful for Indian (which is sort of a basic tenant of all Indian food). Given that the food was only mediocre and this place was on the more expensive side, I would probably say there are better ways... More
