The Riptide has the best cool breezes on those hot days, the best fish and chips and cold beer all at a surprisingly economical price. Could not get enough of this place and the ultra colourful bar patrons that frequent the place. Lots of water action to watch too!

Very delicious fish and chips on the boat, great people, great service, quiet location away from main street but still easy to find.

Cool spot on an old boat. Has a great breeze on a hot day and very few bugs (chitre). Make sure to check out the roof top. Cheapest drinks we enjoyed in Bocas! We didn't eat but the food looked really good. Good service too.

Situation on a large, docked boat, Rip Tide is a cool place with cheap drinks and good food. Cathy the owner is super interesting and most evening can me spent talking to expat 'locals' or jumping from the back of the boat into the pristine waters below.

A bit difficult to find - but if you know the wonderful owner - easy peasy! Great atmosphere being right on the water in an old boat... Lots of room for your friends to eat and drink... we had a table of about 12 of us and the service was very good. My meal was good, and the selection was... More

Went to Rip Tide the day we arrived with friends for lunch, the food was good, reasonable, and the atmosphere was great. We visited Rip Tide many more times during our visit to hang out and have drinks.

Service was lackluster and would have enjoyed a more generous pour (actually would have liked a Jameson's but had to go with Scotch). But it is a bar on a boat in Paradise. Can't go too wrong with that.

We went to dinner at Rip Tide on the night before a full moon. Sitting on the boat, eating dinner and watching the moon rise over the bay was amazing. I had the fish and chips and was very happy I did. The fish was done to perfection and the fries where perfect as well. Thankfully it wasn't all you... More

The food at RipTide is, quite simply, damned good joint food! Make no mistake, the Tide is a joint that makes no pretense about being a fine restaurant... simply serving very good food. You're not in Chicago, Miami, or Boston, you're in remote Panama and getting very good food for a reasonable price. The Tide is an old Shrimper that... More
