Fish and chips are great!

We ate lunch here on our last day in Bocas town. We found it just by walking through town. It is located on the second floor of a building. The menu is slightly limited but contained good items for lunch. We ordered the fried fish fillet with cole slaw and fish and chips. The cole slaw was the... read more

The food here is absolutely fantastic fresh and the kitchen is sparkling clean. I had the grilled fish dinner my friend ate the seafood soup which was also delicious. The original rip tide was on a boat and sank but now is on the second floor and amazing.

Was closed this december. The boat is now underwater. Last time i ate there was may 2014. Food and service was decent, was just cool to eat on a old commercial fishing vessel.

Yes, it's true, the ship sank on November 17, 2014. But, we have re-opened in a new location serving the same great food in a new cleaner, crisper atmosphere. You can now find us on Calle 2da across from the government building. More

The RIP Tide was a great floating restaurant / bar that attracted a lot of ex pats so there was always a bunch of crusty Gringo's hanging around swapping lies. Unfortunately a storm sank her in November and she is no more. I hope she gets re-floated and taken to a bit deeper water to become an artificial reef and... More

sadly this boat just sank, but i hope they rebuild soon because it was on the best places on the water to relax, have a drink & meet new people. The food was always consistently good.

The Riptide has the best cool breezes on those hot days, the best fish and chips and cold beer all at a surprisingly economical price. Could not get enough of this place and the ultra colourful bar patrons that frequent the place. Lots of water action to watch too!

Very delicious fish and chips on the boat, great people, great service, quiet location away from main street but still easy to find.

Cool spot on an old boat. Has a great breeze on a hot day and very few bugs (chitre). Make sure to check out the roof top. Cheapest drinks we enjoyed in Bocas! We didn't eat but the food looked really good. Good service too.

Situation on a large, docked boat, Rip Tide is a cool place with cheap drinks and good food. Cathy the owner is super interesting and most evening can me spent talking to expat 'locals' or jumping from the back of the boat into the pristine waters below.

A bit difficult to find - but if you know the wonderful owner - easy peasy! Great atmosphere being right on the water in an old boat... Lots of room for your friends to eat and drink... we had a table of about 12 of us and the service was very good. My meal was good, and the selection was... More
