If you would like to eat a Sri Lankan feast, cooked from scratch to order, in the company of a genuine family this is the place.the location is not grand, the premises humble (though very clean and tidy) but the welcome is huge and the food wonderful. We ordered a prawn curry with yellow rice and a chicken curry rice... More

If you want really tasty and authentic Sri Lankan Curries, this is the place to go. Prices are tourist prices. It is a must to order a couple of hours in advance. "Prem" is not like a regular restaurant, more like home entertainment. Saman, the host, is a really nice guy, but he tends to get lost in conversation -... More

This is a family run place which serves up real home made food and you won't find a much better curry in Sri Lanka. I had curry every night on my trip and this place stands out as one of the best. It's worth making the trip from the beach into town that's for sure.

We had the best fish rice and curry at this lovely family restaurant. Saman is a nice guy and his wife is a great cook! The place is at a rather unexpected location near the bus station but once you get inside it is nicely decorated. The whole family welcomes you and makes sure you have a good time. They... More

We went to this place for a dinner and spent great hours. We recommend this place if you want to get a glimpse into regular Sri Lankan life and enjoy fresh local food, simple and delicious. Everything is made by hand from scratch and takes ca. an hour to prepare - it might be worth pre-ordering your menu in advance.... More

Ate here 2 of 4 nights of our stay. Food was amazing, service was so friendly and a great atmosphere. We pre-booked table as well as what we wanted from limited Sri Lankan menu and were served quicker than those who didn't. Wonderful little place and great value.

Here is an incredible example of Sri Lankan food. Everything was fresh, the flavours were balanced the dishes were diverse and unique. I ordered rice and curry (vegetarian), and there were 5 different dishes along with papadams. Look out for the unbelievable eggplant dish. I don't understand how it was made or even how to explain it, it was fried,... More

We've been in Sri Lanka for almost a month now and we always on the lookout for good quality, authentic, home made food freshly made to order. This place ticks all the boxes! The family is wonderful and so passionate about the way they cook! Bring a book with you, the food will take 45-60 min to arrive and enjoy... More

This little gem is tucked away at the corner of the rickshaw park to the right of the bus station. If you can't see it look to the bottom of the huge transmitter mast! Food is of the highest quality and served with great style by the owner and her daughter. We had curry and rice (well you have to,... More
