We visited this popular and well known restaurant in Kandy to sample the much venerated Biriani. Unfortunately, there was none left on the first day we visited, but we discovered Kabul Roti instead which was quite excellent. We went back the following day for the chicken biriani. The chicken was excellent, but the rest was disappointing. This is a very... More

This place screams authenticity. It's a no frills place with lots of locals. We strolled by after we had dinner looking for something for our sweet tooth cravings. It's easy to feel a little out of place walking in, but the staff is very sweet. We ordered some fresh juices, all delicious. We also ordered some "turkey bread", which was... More

Being in Kandy, don't expect a variety of restaurants. Kandy Muslim restaurant has also a typical Kandy environment. The range of food in the menu seems impressive but the reality is different. However, you can still find traditional Sri Lankan and Indian food there in a reasonable price.

Great range of authentic food. Service was pleasant and fairly prompt. Foreigners are encouraged to go upstairs and it is nicer and less congested up there. We ate well, enjoyed the food and didn't get sick. Very modest prices. Toilets may be best avoided

All foreign guests are directed here for a snack or a drink here when we visit Knady. I'd like to ask them WHY ? Because what we found were self styled men with long beards who don't belong in the Food & Beverage Industry. this place I recall very well was dirty and smelt bad. ......

This place ticks all the boxes, delicious, very cheap and popular with the locals. Everything we ordered here blew us away. Service was also super snappy although we were in no rush to leave. Try the Kabul Rotti and kottu which with definitely have you coming back for more!
