Excellent central cafe.

We stopped here for lunch (as my partner had stayed at the Old Empire hotel 26 years previously) and I was very pleasantly surprised. The choice of food was great, lots of western things with Sri Lankan influences (I had had about 15 rice and curries by that point) and the quality was fantastic... read more

I have visited here four times, I am English and my wife is Sri Lankan, we have visited on our own and with family and it's always superb. The menu is full of interesting dishes that make the best of local produce. The menu is a fusion of Sri Lankan and western foods. I both eat out and Cook alot... More

Great place to get your Latte fix , the fresh juices and milkshakes are good too. Sit in the front entrance bar and watch the world go by and Backpackers arrive ! Had a vegetable wrap there one evening and it was OK , not amazing . Very friendly service . One thing , the lovely postcards they sell are... More

Try the wraps but not pasta. We ordered a puttanesca and it was sweet! Needless to say, we couldn't swallow that. The tuna wrap was pretty good.

Beautifully restored Colonial building with a great cafe in the entrance. Very near the Temple complex, and next door to a little post office.

I was going to give this place a "terrible" review rating for the following reasons: - I sat down at an outside table and after five minutes of no one appearing, I walked into the kitchen where I found the waitress to ask if could have breakfast - after 20 minutes of waiting for someone to take my order, I... We've been there several times during our stay in Kandy and would definitely recommend this nice colonial café. Food is delicious and the juices and smoothies are very tasty - all at a reasonable price. You can sit there and relax in the middle of all the action around the tooth temple. Don't go there if you're in a hurry... More

We didn't find so many good restaurants in Kandy, so this one was one of the best. They have nice pasta with cheese and good chicken curry. Very friendly staff.

A useful pit stop after the temple of the tooth. Not a lot going for the place apart from the fresh lime soda. Personally I would not bother eating there. Nothing Sri Lankan except some dubious interpretations of European dishes. Seek out the Masla Dosa restaurant that we went to.

This cafe is located right outside the main entrance to the temple of sacred tooth, so it's a great place to stop by when you're done with sightseeing at the temple. One of the few and obviously the closest 'western' style cafe/restaurant available in the area. Interiors are very modern and toilet is well maintained, but it doesn't open until... More
