A good place to eat

This is a place to remember the meal after the tiring day .The ice cream is not to miss . Seating could be better managed .

Came here the other day and had the coconut and banana milkshake, expensive but it's a place for foreigners so you expect that and it was pretty nice and refreshing. The next day my partner and i both ordered the coconut and banana milkshake, and they brought us two half glasses topped up with ice to make it look full... More

I do sincerely apologise. You are right, the milkshake you received on the second day should have been the same as the one on the first day, without all the ice.It seems there was also a misunderstanding on our part,it has nothing to do with any new menu(it was last revised in December 2014) and I am not sure why that was said,and... Met some people for drinks here who we're staying in the hotel. I did not order food so can't report on that but the drink selections were creative and enticing. I settled on what amounted to a cardamon lassi and it was excellent. The decor was fun and different and the staff very efficient. Great meeting place.

While the food is nothing to brag about. It does seem not very expensive for it's good location and interiors are pretty colorful. I quite liked hanging out here. But the food wasn't as good as other places I ate. We ordered a Sri Lankan thali to make sure we ate something local and good. However, it failed to impress... More

The food was edible but not wonderful. The eating area was without any charm. I'm sure there are better places to eat.

Well, I ordered Caesar salad, as didn't want to try something new. But when they brought it to me I saw a big portion of salad, several pcs of fried bread and chicken that looked to be prepared a day ago. And that's it. Except dressing that is also awful.

We had a good value room in the empire cafe for the night and decided to head for breakfast in the morning, I was very impressed with my vegetarian wrap which was brilliant! The staff are really friendly here, Sindu served us and was smiling and helpful and had good conversation. Recommended.

This Cafe-Restaurant is located very close to the Buddha´s tooth, which makes it very well situated. We went there for lunch after visiting this emblematic place in Kandy. We were really hungry and the food arrived quickly, which was highly appreciated. The quality was good, the salads were tasty and the chicken curry was I think one of the highlights.... More

Diverse and interesting menus with something for everyone, even out two toddlers. They have a high chair too with safety harness which is rare in this part of the world!

Beautifully converted old colonial building that is aimed at tourists but nothing wrong with that if you do it as well as they do. Cool break from tourist sights with ceiling fans and lovely waitress. Delicious juices and wraps with great selection to suit western tastes but with Sri Lankan influences.
