After eating fast food for a week, it was wonderful to get real cooked food. Our group of 12 ordered about 9 separate dishes and every single one was delicious. Prices are around S/.20. Atmosphere is a little more classy, and there's free wifi.

This popular restaurant is situated in the south of the main square. One of the best options is the chicken with tropical salad and french fries. I had this several times, its so delicious. There are so many restaurants in Huaraz, but you wont be disappointed if you chose this option. The service is really fast and the prices are... More

We had a discount from staying at Alpes Huaraz Hostel, and the staff recommended it...rightly so, delicious food at a decent price. I had a burger (soooo good!) and it was something cray like $8. For what I got...worth it! Other people had chicken, the portions were perfect and sauces amazing. A must! The menu accommodates all budget, so don't... More

You get a lot of wonderful food for a really good price. Service may be a bit slow but they are typically very busy so it's understandable. Great chicken!

The dishes are big and very satisfies. Also had there soup that was good. The place is hygienic and also the toilets are clean. I didn't like their lemonade. Probably the slowest service I came across in Peru. The waitress looks like they fast asleep. But cool place and they open many hours a day

If you want to try the traditional dish of pollo a la brasa, or chicken over coals, this is the place to do it. Prices are very good and food is very delicious. The service is decent, and atmosphere is good as well. Good for large groups, as they have dining tables that can accomodate up to 25 people or... More

Everything here is good. The Q'Palta burger with chips for S/9 is excellent. The roast chicken for S/10 is delicious, big and comes with a yummy olive side sauce. The Bistek a lo Pobre is enormous, tasty and is the ultimate reward after a week trekking. All washed down with a jug of freshly made lemonade. The dining room is... More

'1/4 de pollo a la brasa' (blackened chicken) is the most typical Peruvian dish and together with 'Chifa' (Chinese-Peruvian food) are what most Peruvians eat outside their homes with family and/or friends. In Huaraz at La Brasa Roja you can try a really good one.

Huge hamburgers with tons of toppings but the burger was cold and red on the inside. I couldn't eat it, it tasted like raw meat. I hope I don't get sick tonight from the part I did eat. I know that's probably just the way Peruvians cook burgers here, but it's not super safe for their international visitors. I guess... More

Living in Peru, I eat a lot of Chicken (pollo a la brass), going into this restaurant I was unsure whether a 1/4 chicken would cut it, as I feared it would be to small for my healthy appetite. I decided to against upgrading to the half chicken however, and kept it simple with the 1/4. When it came out... More
