My Happy Place in Huaraz (INCREDIBLE CHICHA!)

La Brasa Roja- what more needs to be said! The Ancash region in general makes a bangin' roast chicken, but La Brasa Roja's chicken bangs louder than them all. Well cooked, spiced, delicious skin, and actually GOOD french fries (papas) make this place one of, if not my favorite restaurant in... read more

We dined with friends who'd raved about this place, both for the quality of their chicken, but also for the value. Given it was a cold night, we all actually opted for options we felt were a little heartier/suited our moods. We couldn't fault the efforts of the floor staff, who were quickly run off their feet (the place filled... More

This place is great. It was packed (lots of floor space here), and for good reason! Upmarket ambiance with only slightly higher prices for the classic roast. Their chicken takes a local favorite to the next level. Amazing flavor, good fries, lovely array of sauces. Requesting additional avocado gets you a nice half pear. The chicha morada is excellent, and... More

This is a great restaurant, offering lots of Peruvian options as well room for big groups. Food: Good Pollo a la brasa, good chicken parmesan, limeade and more. The restaurant is big and has lots of room for big groups as well. I would say this is a great cheaper restaurant. I recently took a group of 7 people and... More

You can get 1/4 chicken, chips and salad for 11.50 soles. The chicken is tender and tasty. This place fills up quickly so come early.

We ate here multiple times. Good burgers are 9 soles w fries. Half a roasted chicken with lots of fries and veggies is 21 soles. Local craft beer is cheaper than other places (8 soles). Local place worth visiting. The trip advisor map is wrong though. Map the address on google maps. Its not in the plaza de arm as.

We've been to this place twice two nights running as we were so impressed. The chicken is amazing and the portions huge, I went for the half (21 s) which was totally unnecessary and would have the quarter (11.50) in future. But great chicken and delicious sauces to go with it. My girlfriend had the pasta and thought it was... More

I had a tender sirloin steak with mushroom sauce. Great atmosphere and food to recuperate after some hard days in the mountains.

This place was packed with locals when we went to eat. We were craving pizza, but I wish we weren't, as it looked like everyone else was getting chicken or steak with fries. We ordered a side of fries just to taste all the sauces they provided (which were pretty tasty), but the pizza was just a miss. Would come... More

The place is really nice, and has a good croud of people (good sign). The chickens we had was tender and good. We also had a starter, which arrived after our main meal. And considering our main meal so large, our starter was not necessary at all. And I think that our waiter should told us that this was far... More
