Was a great blast of nostalgia for US coffee shops after a few weeks stay in the Ancash. Decent bagels and soup. Coffee smells different from Peruvian coffee.

They´ve got the best chocolate cake in town but it seems like nobody that works there is there to work. You order coffee and they forget to bring it to you, forget to bring you sugar or extras, you have to get up and go beg for it. You enter and nobody brings you the menu or asks if you... More

My friends and I loved California Cafe! The staff was super friendly and so accommodating!! They gave me a different option of bread because of my nut allergy and even filled up my water bottle without hesitation. The relaxed atmosphere and natural lighting makes it a great place to spend the morning reading relaxing and enjoying an excellent cup of... More

People seem to love this place, but I feel that it is just average. The "relaxed" atmosphere leads to slow service and an aloof staff. The food that I've tried is just mediocre. I prefer Cafe Andino to this place any day of the week. They both have free wi-fi, but I think the staff as Cafe Andino is more... More

This is a cool little cafe and a great place to hang out. The cakes are great and served in enormous slabs with a wide range of teas, coffees or other drinks. The apple cake was a real star, but the banana and meringue cakes weren't bad either! Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.

I spent 2 months in Huaraz which meant that I visited California Cafe about 60 times. The lattes are the best and be sure to pick up a chocolate chip cookie... and ask Giancarlos to warm it up for you. Breakfast is awesome, especially with the fresh baked bread included. Service may be a bit slow but its super friendly.... More

A little gem nestled in amongst the streets of Huaraz. The breakfast was perfect. Portions are huge. A typical breakfast will cost you around S/25-30. Sofas and good local knowledge make this place a good gringo retreat.

A really relaxed atmosphere. It's open early for those who wish to get here for 7:30am and there is a great selection of fruits, crepes and pancakes. Only rated 4 not 5 because of a tiny lack in cooked breakfasts which I prefer. They serve eggs, bacon and french toast which tasted great, but I'm a personal fan of extra... More

If you have looking for a nice relaxing place especially for a good breakfast this is the place for you. It has been my go to place for breakfast when returning from Lima via bus as they open early enough that I can swing by right after getting off the bus. Their sandwiches at lunchtime are good but seem a... More
