Comedor Gloriana is a real find. Delicious home cooked Nicaraguan dishes in a fabulous location, on the beach on Playa Santo Domingo with fabulous views of Lake Nicaragua and the Volanoes. The resaurant opens to the beach and gentle breezes blow in. And the food is fabulous! The restaurant owner, Juan Carlos, also rents motorcycles and arranges tours all over... More

Comedor Gloriana is located right on the Santo Domingo beach. Not easy to get to from the road, but great access from the each. The owner, Juan Carlos, will arrange horseback riding, motorcycle rental, or anything else available on the island for you. Pleasant place to visit and spend the afternoon.

The owner Juan Carlos offered us moped rental for the day. He asked that I left my passport as exchange for the moped. Thank God I thought of taking a video of the scratches of the moped before heading out. When we returned he tried to charge us $300 for new "scratches" on the moped and he wouldn't return the... we ate there after being recommended by the owners cousin Kevin who owns bull shark tours. Kevin and the tour guide (who spoke good English) at bull shark tours seemed nice enough so not sure if they were in on it or if they had no idea what was going on. but the night we ate there the power kept... What's not to like about eating right on the beach? The food wasn't anything spectacular, but it's a comedor right? Just meant to be reasonably tasty.

The place has a relaxing atmosphere and great prices for plates full of food. The little girls are smiling and giggling and enjoying life while mom and dad and grandma all provide good food and service. Juan Carlos rents motorcycles in Santo domingo.

Had a really good lunch here, fish, fresh from the lake. Delisious!!! Just so you're warned: the fish is whole, that is with everything, so don't expect a fillet! I like to spread out my money, so I also went to Julias, the "comedor" that is right next door. Had the same type of fish for dinner, now with garlic!... More

Have a economical delicious lunch right on the beach lakeside and you can rent REALLY cheap rooms, bikes, motorcycles, have a REflexology foot massage! The 2 little girls are adorable and maybe you can even help them improve their English!
