A fantastic meal!

We were so happy with our meal here. The Berber pizza was amazing (really!) and the oranges for dessert were refreshing. Unfortunately, the restaurant was packed at 2pm, so we had to eat outside on 1 of the 2 shaded tables. It being the desert, it was real, real hot. Get there early so you get... read more

We really enjoyed the "berber pizza" for lunch and the oranges for desert. It was delicious. My only complaint was that they served us too much food! One berber pizza for two people was just too much, no matter how good it tasted.

This is not your mother's pizza, unless you are berber. It is like a flatbread that might have been fried, stuffed with meat and vegetables, and flavored with moroccan spices. It looks like a stuffed pizza. It was delicious. It was quite a change from the cpus cpus and tangines that we had been eating in morocco. It was something... More

The owner, Hassan, named the cafe after his daughter. He is the friendliest host! The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and the vegetarian Berber pizza was the best meal of our trip.

Luckily I had the experience to taking a cooking class at Cafe Nora with Fatima running the kitchen. Upon walking into Cafe Nora it felt like you were in a family member's home. We were all cutting and chopping beautiful and fresh veggies and meat. While others were making fresh spice and olive oil concoctions where the aroma was mouth... More

Cafe Restaurant Nora is half way between Merzouga and Khamilia. Their speciality is Madfouna, otherwise known as Berber Pizza. This is a concoction of spicy meat and vegetables cooked in a flatbread. Somewhat like a Calzoni pizza but with Moroccan flair. The restaurant itself is decorated in rustic Berber style - cosy and atmospheric. After the meal sit on the... More

We arranged to have a cooking lesson while visiting the region and were pointed in the direction of Cafe Nora in Merzouga. When asked if it is "one of the best" meals ever, have to say it was close. It is a wonderful change from the tajines and couscous, as others have pointed out, but what made it most special... More

If you've been travelling around Morocco and had gotten a bit tired of the usual Tajines and Couscous (like we were on a recent trip to the area) give yourself a delicious break and head to Cafe Nora (that is if you're in Merzouga). It's a charming little place in the middle of nowhere with views of the sand dunes,... More

We stopped at Cafe Restaurant Nora on our way through Merzouga into the Desert February 2015. We had an absolutely fabulous Berber Pizza experience here. I must admit, I love pizza. I didn't know what to expect going in, but let me say it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was nice, and staff were very friendly... but the pizza. Amazing!... More
