This is a great place to have drinks and watch the world go by below in the square. The food and service were average - nothing bad but nothing special. The kofta plates looked good but the tagine we ordered was a small portion. On a side note there is nothing western on the menu if you feel like a... More

I am not easy to impress when it comes to Moroccan food, since I cook it all the time at home, and I have met pretty good Moroccan cooks, however, I found the food to be exquisite. We had a vegetable & beef couscous, to which they added raisings and caramelized onions just please me. We also had a lamb... More

The restuarant has a wonderful terrace at the top of the building that is great for sunsets when the entire village glows with a variety shades of blue. We ordered their menu for 850 Dirams (starter, main course and desster) and were not disappointed! I would highly recommend this place.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience. La Lampe Magique was our first eating out experience in Morocco and it was a real treat. Not only did we have great food at a very affordable price, but had an amazing view sitting on the top terrace. It was so nice that we mentioned our visit in our blog: http://www.whyarentyouturningleft.co.uk/2014/03/FewStepsIntoAfricaChefchaouenMorocco.html

We were wary of this place as it looked like a bit of a tourist trap. But I have to say we had some of the best food we had in 6 weeks in Morocco here. They were perfectly happy to just serve the main course for 50dh (three courses 85dh) and both our choices were delicious. Smaller than your... More

Cool decor but average food. For what you paid compared to the restaurants in the main square it wasn't much better. Good view of the square and good atmosphere so worth a visit one night.

This charming restaurant is situated in the Hotel Aladdin, tucked away in a (of course, blue) lane way in Chefchaouen. The interior is lovely and it's worth climbing the stairs for a meal on one of the terraces. Original (and very good) art decorates the walls. The staff are friendly and multi-lingual, explaining the prix fixe menu (85dh), which is... More

I had the experience of dining here twice during my time in chefchaoen. The location in the plaza was easy to find and the terrace views were fantastic. As was the service received on both occasions. The menu was fairly extensive but the food seemed to lack that x-factor needed to make this a truly authentic and memorable experience. At... More

Go here to enjoy the overly decorated 1001 nights themed interiors, complete with cushions, alcoves and candles, and superb views over the square and town from the two roof terraces. Even the toilets are kind of cute in their own little alcoves. The service was adequate, though certainly nothing to write home about. But I don't think that's special to... More

After reading other people's reviews, I expected the food to be much better than it was. It was only mediocre. Not only was service poor, but, as in Tangier earlier, the waiter forgot me up on the roof terrace and I had to descend several levels to find him and ask for the rest of the meal. The restaurant has... More
