This restaurant is part of the Regency Tanjung Tuan Beach Resort. Really lovely al fresco dining right on the beach. A series of hawker stall style mini restaurants (each serving a different nationality/type of food) and you select which ever cusine you want. You can choose Chinese, Thai, Malay or western foods. There is even fresh fish and shell fish (you choose your own fish from a fresh fish counter and have it cooked to order). Or you can stick to western dishes (excellent lasagne, fish and chips etc). Often there are themed buffets and barbecues and live music. The place is not posh and it attracts loads of families. We have been to this restaurant twice, each on separate visits to Port Dickson. If you arrive early evening you are treated to the most spectacular sunset; and as the evening wears on, the restaurant gets busier and busier and the place really buzzes. Service is fast and efficient with plenty of waiters. Food is on the pricey side compared to the local restaurants, especially for western dishes and fresh fish, but it is worth splashing out at least once during your holiday.

Food good but service slow...

We ate at the Coconut Grove one night to see what it was like - it loooked good from the outside and it was quite a nice location on the beach. There was a lot of choice when it came to style of cooking, and we ordered fish and chips and Satay, with sago gula melaka for desert. All the... read more

The restaurant is inside the area of Regency Tanjung Tuan Beach Resort. It is on the seaside, which is very nice and romantic environment to relax and have a dinner. The price range of food is similar to the food that we ordered at hotel's restaurant. However, for the environment like this at night, it is totally worth of it.... More

My youngest daughter had the steak, wife ordered the bee hoon hailam and i had the laksa. The steak was good coming fr a local reataurant, laksa was great for my standard but... More

My family and I really enjoyed dinner at the Coconut Grove. It was a perfect place to view the sunset. The food was good and the prices, especially for the local dishes, were reasonable. Service was slow at times, and the dishes we ordered didn't all come out together, but we were enjoying the views and our time together as... More

I love the sound of the waves and the feel of the breeze as you sit at the cafe, watching kids enjoy the sand. You have to go in the evenings when it is cooler and not many people on the beach .

I love this cafe by the beach. It is secluded and you would have to enter the gates leading to the Regency Apartment. We never miss to have our coffee and desert at this cafe, in the evenings, whenever we are in Port Dickson. We could watch the children play on the sand or walk by the edge of the... More

This place has really gone to the dogs. This is probably a result of dwindling business. Most of the outlets were closed. Only a limited selection was available. The waiters were unfamiliar with the menu and were language challenged (foreign workers). The food was badly prepared and certainly not worth the price. Hygiene was suspect. I will definitely not go... More

Took us over an hour to get all our food. It was mediocre food, not worth the wait. Lackluster & unorganized. Won't come back here again.

It took an hour for the seafood we ordered to arrive, and frankly, i can cook much better than that! In short, it is just a pricey by the beach food stall with snail pace service that serves ordinary meals. Not worth visiting unless you have nothing better to do.
