Nice ambience didn't make up for the long waiting

We ordered for tempura vegetables (delicious). The sauteed pumpkin we had for the main course was not that good, but the chicken with cashewnuts was delicious though. Other than that, the nice ambience didn't make up for the long waiting time.

This is surely overpriced. I ordered an chicken curry and rice here. Chicken curry was reallt greasy. It was just an oil, not curry. When I put my spoon in curry I could see the red transparent oil flowed into spoon. That oil curry was 150 baht. Ridiculous price. I tasted much better curry in ayutthaya in 70 baht. Rice... More

Dream cafe is not the typical thai restaurant from interior as you know but looks more like an Irish pub. The food however is really excellent. Two apetizers (fresh springrolls/banana leaves) and main course (spare ribs/red curry) were absolutely delicious! Portions were quite big. Somewhat slow service (15min for a drink) and rather high price (compared to thai standards), but... More

After looking around at the food market I just wanted relief from the hot and busy town. This place was on the town map our hotel gave us. So very glad we came here. We were able to escape the humid heat and cool down. The atmosphere is such a quirky and deviantly sexual little place. Very enjoyable and entertaining.... More

this quirky cafe offers an extensive menu, every dish arrived promptly and was beautifully cooked, the setting is full of interesting curio's and collections of antiques, silks and beautiful ceramics, a special night with a pleasant waitress, shy but prompt and warmed more as the evening progressed, cannot fault restaurant, worth a visit a great place for all visitors couples,... Here serves many kinds of Thai and international food. One of the signature dish that I like is Sukhothai Fondue. It looks like Sukiyaki but more herbal and spicy. Herbal liquors is the must when come here. The atmosphere is peaceful and filled with many antiques.

The quality and taste of the food is definitely good and have many choice of Thai traditional dishes. But the service is extremely poor: during all the dinner, each time the waiter come,we really feel bothering her. She is not professional and make a bad image of the place.

We were told by our hotel this was a good place to eat. We placed our order with a waitress that made no eye contact, did not smile, and acted like it was a chore to take the order. The restaurant was not busy only two other tables occupied. After waiting for 45 minutes and no food and no acknowledgment... More

We first dined at Dream Café more than a decade ago and have always enjoyed eating there with each visit to Sukhothai. The design and atmosphere is really special for a small upcountry Thai town like Sukhothai. With all sorts of little nooks and crannies in which to sit, it is also eclectic and filled with old Sukhothai antiques. Even... More
