We came here on the recommendation of someone living in Koh Tao, and we weren't disappointed (we knew we'd love it, based on the owner's hilarious TripAdvisor responses. Complimenti! Ci hai fatto proprio ridere). The food was delicious - you could be in Italy. I had the lasagne and marvelled at the portion size ("I'll never eat all that!"), before... More

Stumbled upon this place by chance. It won't get more Italian in Thailand and also not in a lot of other countries. Great bruchetta, chese, olives and suasage as starter and good dorade, oven baked lasagna and pizza as entree. We were more than happy with taste, portions and service. The complimentary amaretto finished a great meal.

Had to return this year after enjoying a number of excellent dinners last year. Food was still excellent. Pizzas, pastas, salads, brusciettas, all very tasty. Brothers Alex out the front and Max in the kitchen, together with their families and staff run a beautiful restaurant, with food to match.

Our pizza and pasta was perfect. Friendly served in a nice looking restaurant. One of the few places where they really know how to cook Italian food on the island.

We ate at the restaurant on two occasions and enjoyed both occasions our only observation being the Italian owner is attracted to his own nationality. He converses with certain guests perhaps the ones he knows to the detriment of other diners from our observations. Leaving his excellent staff to manage the service.

Ate there last night as been away from home long enough to crave something western, and was not disappointed. Shared the large antipasti plate which is quite pricy at £15 but boy it was worth it! Hand sliced Palma ham, creamy mozzarella, nutty pecorino and those lovely little black olives mmmm! Hubby had pizza Romana - a bit too much... More

We have been to La Dolce Vita in the beginning of February 2014.We liked it that much that we ate here two evenings in a row, with an excuse to empty our bottle of wine. You only have italian dishes, which I appreciate. The service was also nice, especially for Thai standards. It is not that expensive as some people here... More
