Heading says it all. Food is very good and served within minutes after ordering. There is one part of the restaurant where patrons sit on some kind of mattress on the floor, which is a quite nice experience - feels like you're dining in your living room. In the evening they play english movies.

We visited this restaurant whilst we were diving on Koh Tao and it had the best Thai red curry I've had in Thailand. Really nice inside and not too loud either. Definitely recommend visiting.

Pranee's is 1 minute to the pier where you can have good thai food. If you go there at dinner time, you can also watch a movie or two. The tv is small though. It is one of the fewest restaurants which shows movies at dinner time. The first movie starts about 6pm. As soon as it finishes, they show the... More

We visited this lovely little restaurant one night after arriving in Koh Tao. We stayed in the bungalows next to the restaurant so it was just out of convenience. We loved the food (wide variety and plenty of vegetarian options) service was great and the price is very fair. We decided to try it for breakfast. Again, delicious, great service... More

Awesome place, tasty and fresh food, NO hygien problem whatsoever, cheap and friendly. Cool staff, movies starting around 7PM, pretty funny on the big old TV. Cool place for backpackers. The place remains authentic. Cool to enjoy a frozen Chang while laying on their thaï mattresses.

This restaurant is one of the longest surviving places on Koh Tao. It looks like the same family have run it for years. The food is consistently good and fairly priced. Find it close to Crystal Divers in Mae Haad. Get there early and have a seat in the lounge for the evening film shows.

If you're looking for good but basic Thai food at a reasonable price, in a relaxed setting, then Pranee's is a pretty good bet. The food isn't excellent but I didn't try anything that was badly cooked and all the dishes seem to be freshly made to order. Prices are pretty cheap too: the restaurant's on the island of Koh...
