We had a few hours to spend in Phi Phi after a night trip so we stopped here to get a beverage and some food. The food is great- we ate a papaya salad (very balanced flavors), the masamun curry (yummy and came highly recommended, but a bit to thick, creamy and sweet for my liking), and the sweet and... More

Brilliant food for great price! The staff were very friendly and attentive. I had Penang curry and shrimp and pineapple rice it was delicious, my boyfriend had green curry this was also very good. Papaya was some of the best food we had in Thailand,I would highly recommend visiting papaya it was recommended to us and we weren't disappointed.

Unfortunately, I found this place the day before leaving! I couldn't enjoy some of the many dishes I wanted to try, like the owner's wife's slow cooked Indian/Malaysian stew - the name escapes me right now - but it wouldn't be ready for some hours. Still, there are other great cheap eats, but I most felt like I was in... More

The best thing was 5 big cats on tables, under tables. If you love cats you will have nice time there. Thai food good, but not awesome. Plates of food very full so if you arent very hungry could take one dish for two.

Lovely food at a good price. Simple menu. Friendly staff, quick service. Away from very loud music. A cat sitting in the fridge to avoid the heat. What more could you want? Highly recommended.

Came back again and again throughout our brief stay, staff were friendly and GENUINE, which is not a description I would use too often about the establishments on Koh Phi Phi. Food was delicious, cheap, and with very generous portions. Recommended for anyone who likes Thai food.

When we first reached Phi Phi, we didn't really know where to eat. We asked around and were directed to Papaya by the resident expats. What a find! It is a small shack at the end of an alley but the food was so good and so cheap. The staff were super friendly and you can always hear great music... More
