We found this restaurant to be very refreshing in so many different ways. The entertainment was light-hearted, the food pretty good & the service was great. I have read other more negative reviews and don't quite know what some people expected, maybe a Broadway Show or Fine Dining perhaps? You're on a beautiful island with your feet in the sand... More

It is edible but it wont make you come back. You might as well pay less and goto Jasmine as the food is cheaper, abience is better and ove rall the food is better (although not great).

The entertainment in this place is something else - as long as you don't take it seriously you will enjoy it. from the old man singing who sounds like one of the muppets to the lady boys trying to dance and then the WWE Thai Boxing this place could be said to have it all in terms of Kitsch entertainment.... Sawasdee seems to be the most preferred restaurant for people staying in laemtong bay. 1. It has reasonable seating count and food options. 2. The food is good and not too overpriced as well. 3. Try the thai red curry with chicken...Delicious... 4. Staff is good. 5. The place keeps you entertained with traditional shows, music and thai boxing. If... More

The food is actually better than the Holiday Inn Buffet by a mile! But that wouldn't be hard. Nice service, and weird singer - but good for some atmosphere. Jasmine is ok, but for something a little more hygienic this is a good alternative.

We had dinner here twice - the second because jasmine was full. It was an interesting experience. LOCATION: on the beach! If you are in the holiday inn - looking at the sea, walk left. 2 minutes from reception. Nice setting. You can sit indoors or outdoors. FOOD: The food was ok but nothing to shout about. We had fish... More

Jasmine is more popular than Sawasdee Restaurant, but I'm pretty sure the owner is not trying to compete on the same level. Went here for lunch for variety after trying Jasmine the night before. From 12 to 1, there was only one other couple. 1 for 1 cocktails during that period (can't remember the exact timeslots, possibly another from 4-7pm).... More

If you are at the holiday inn, you eat at Jasmine. The other options are the hotel's restaurants (very expensive) or Sawasdee. We tried Sawasdee and regretted it immensely. it is more expensive than Jasmine and the food is clearly not as good. But the real disappointment was the service. Walking by at our first day, we say a squared... More

The nicest Restaurant if you want to escape the overpriced hotels for dinner. I do not believe the bad references and even the picture does not look like Sawasdee (more like Jasmin with those plastic chairs). The Restaurant Sawasdee is located between Holiday Inn resort and Zeavola. Next to the Restaurant Jasmin. We found it way better (more delicious, much... More

We stayed at the Holiday Inn and ate here a number of times because of the standard of food, price, atmosphere and service. I don't understand why this restaurant is not more highly rated. it is far better than the Jasmine next door. The Shrimp Cakes in particuar were wonderful and the best we tasted in Thailand - and we... More
