I had to come here to review the massaman curry. I loved it so much that it's been hard to order the same thing in other restaurants and be disappointed. It was a good portion, filling, and delicious! My boyfriend got some fried rice and was jealous of my meal although he enjoyed his as well. the beers were nice,... More

Very good western style bar. Plenty of TVs showing everything from AFL to World Cup. The beer was cold, the beef was Australian, and everyone was very friendly. Glad we found it.

I'm finally getting round to writing up all my reviews during my 2 month stay on Koh Lanta and the Irish Embassy Bar certainly deserves its recent Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence award and sets the standard in the region. Great for watching sport, loved the home cooked food including the Burger, Sunday Roast and fish and chips and the drinks... More

We went here last night to watch the Germany vs Brazil game which started at 3am. Me and my girlfriend expected the place to be empty, however it was the complete opposite. There were loads of people in there watching the football and the owner and his staff were really accommodating. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking... More

As a personal rule, I typically avoid Irish bars at all costs. I learned years ago that they are usually the most expensive and least interesting places in any city that everybody rushes to. I've been on Ko Lanta now for about four evenings and have found myself here at the Irish Embassy each evening. It is a great atmosphere... More

I was traveling around Thailand solo and stumbled upon the Embassy towards the end of my trip. It was a great place to spend a few nights, especially if you've been away a while and want to catch the end of the premier league season! Really friendly guys and a great atmosphere.

While in Koh Lanta for a week myself and the wife visited many times, either just for a drink, to watch sports (especially football) or to have a meal. The drinks are great and reasonably priced. the food was amazing, both the Thai menu and the British/Irish menu, especially the Sunday lunch, sometimes you just need a meal just like... More

Barry, Darren and the ladies at The Irish treat you like gold, smiles all around and an amazing atmosphere coupled with ice cold beers and delicious food. The bangers & mash is sublime and their Thai dishes are just as amazing! Heck they even have all the World Cup matches on the HD screens with English commentary. (The matches are... More
