During my stay in Koh Lanta I went to L. Maladee twice for dinner. This was in part because of the really positive reviews on Tripadvisor, and partly because we stayed at Crown Lanta Resort, which was very close to the restaurant. We had seafood both nights, and while the food was good I must say that they were not... More

The good point of this restaurant is... the staff : kind and smiling. But for the food, forget it... two different dishes of fish, nothing extraordinary ... too bad for us, we've gone because of the reviews on TAdv. So pass on it... doesn't worth the time to find it, neither the price (not so exepnsive to be honest).

I've spent 18 months of my life in Thailand and over that time have sampled the food from all regions. While I have a preference for spicy Isaarn flavours I can still appreciate the fine balance between saltiness, sourness, spicyness, and bitterness that needs to be managed when cooking Thai food. A group of us went to L Maladee with... More

We went to this restaurant after reading reviews on TA. It was only 5 mins from our hotel. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried almost everything! We had dinner there on 7 consecutive nights of our stay in Koh Lanta in March/April 15. They are very attentive and always ask if you want the food spicy or not. Go... More

One of my friends suggested here and truthfully wanted to dine here as well since it's kind of famous in trip advisor and some meet tourists. We tried their thai food, since I'm really fond of it especially phad thai, but i find it really average. I guess they're specialty is really into fresh seafood. Next time, we'll have to... More

I stayed right across the street at the Pilanta Resort and Spa with my boyfriend. We're always in search of great seafood especially when traveling in S.E. Asia. We didn't even both with the paper menu, instead we just ordered from the tray of daily catch. The red snapper is to die for. We ate it almost every night. Tiger... More

We headed out of our resort for the night for a meal at a this restaurant after seeing excellent reviews here. We were greeted very openly when we arrived by several of what appeared to be family members. We had struggled to get real Thai food at our resorts so far so we were pleased to see this was local... Be warned: When I visited this restaurant I had the expectation that the food would be above average because of all the good reviews on TripAdvisor. Nonetheless the taste of all our dishes was completely out of balance, either too salty, too sweet or without taste at all. I have been eating in a lot of restaurants and on the... More
