Really very good

Stumbled across it whilst walking down the beach. Excellent spicy beef salad and fresh spring rolls. Followed by very good red snapper. Great location on the beach and very helpful staff. A must visit. Try the Thai wine.

First day we got to KO lanta we stumble across tides and a warm welcome awaited us from a male staff member, eager for our custom. My partner proposed the day before and we were looking to celebrate, but said we would come back tomorrow. Next evening we arrive and we were either told we could sit in the chill... More

Thank you for taking your time reviewing our Tides Restaurant and foremost congratulation for your engagement from all of us. After some investigations, it is correct that you were wearing shorts and flip flops from the beach, which is against our dress code, what our supervisor nicely told you and still was trying to get you a table ‘outdoor’ as... We stayed at the Layana, so dined here quite a few times. The food and service are simply fantastic, and the setting by the beach is just lovely. As you'd expect from a 5 star hotel it's more expensive than surrounding places, but well worth it. The best food was their beach bbq with excellent steaks and amazing seafood including... More

Excellent Thai and Western cuisine, served in elegant beachfront setting by an army of well-trained and authentically friendly staff. Some themed evenings (shellfish/grill/thai) that add to the enjoyment. Am not sure why some reviewers have a dig at the prices or variety - this is an upscale setting at a very smart hotel and prices very marginally higher than the... More

Tides is part of the Layana Resort. The choice of food (they have Thai and Western choices) is very good, and preparation and presentation are excellent. Service is great too. Location is directly in the beach, and you have the waves crushing almost at your. Prices are on the higher side (300 baht for a starter, 300-600 baht for main,... More

Tides is the restaurant in the Layana resort, where we spent our recent holiday. I would have preferred to give this review 4.5 out of 5 but cannot - the food is just wonderful, I can only remember one occasion where the food was just the tiniest bit disappointing and this was due to portion size rather than quality. The... More

I have travelled to Ko Lanta with my wife during our honeymoon. Once we tried Tides restaurante, we never made other choice. Excellent food with affordable prices. Friendly and dedicated staff, in a restaurant where the sea is only 20mt away.

We have eaten at this restaurant twice during our 4D stay on Koh Lanta and we will certainly go back before we leave. It is amazing and almost perfect. The location is stunning. The decor is beautiful. The tables setting and layout is well planned. The service is impeccable. The crowd is great (adults only). The food is delicious and... More

Terrasse directly at the beach. I love the saturday night barbecues at the beach - great food, guests nicely dressed but barefoot - so different from home :-)
