I had a pepper garlic (beef), and had a tourist flavor about it, nothing special. (I had the same at Jai-Dee and that one was really spicy with good flavor.) The place is nice with chairs and tables at the beach for the sunset. Oh yea almost forgot, (really big rats outside of the restaurant) they need a cat :-).

We stayed in Khlong Nin for 3 nights and visited Roi Thai 2 out of 3 of these nights. Firstly the service was excellent. On the first night it was extremely busy and the tables on the beach were full. We asked if we could wait for a table with a few other people as inside was boiling and they... More

The service at dinner was very slow for the first person, slower still for the second person, and the third person in our party ended up eating after the others had finished. They didn't seem particularly busy, but it took an hour for the last person to be served. Food was good, but not exceptional.

This place is known for its Thai cooking lessons. We came here for dinner on Sunday night and it was pretty crowded. Lots of people dining on the beach, but we chose to sit indoors instead. Food is decently yummy and not too expensive. Love the bbq selection where you can pick your seafood and have it weighed outside the... More

Describing a restaurant as the worst lets many worthy contenders off the hook but Roi Thai in Koh Lanta deserves that prize. There were three of us and we had not booked on a Sunday evening. The evening started off well enough, the fish on counter outside looked fresh and although a table was not immediately available one overlooking the... More

I cannot for the life of me understand how this place gets such good reviews. We (myself and two friends) went here for a meal while staying at Klong Nin beach. We were given a table in the middle of the restaurant despite it being half empty. While the waitress was initially attentive this soon gave way to indifference if... More

On our first visit a table was set for us on the beach, we obviously returned for another beach dinner after that. We also tried their cooking school, the lunch class. We were a small group, only four people and a helper (my 8 year old daughter who loved it) which made it very personal and helpful. A quick introduction... More

Fairly large and brightly lit place. If you get a table on the beach or inside at the front row towards the beach it might have more of a cosy feeling but if not, its a bit too much tourist industry. Ok / average food and service but not more than that. Try Richeys next door instead.
