A rarity to find a cafe in Ayutthaya which serves good coffee and some western style food.

Good cafes serving some Western style food are very difficult to find in Ayuttaya and my husband and I were so relieved when we finally stumbled across this welcoming little cafe. We spent the weekend staying around the corner at the Tamarind Guest House. We came back for breakfast on the second day because it was very friendly and pleasant the first morning. We had scrambled eggs, the egg and croissant sandwich. The Thai iced coffee was also quite nice.

Very nice place to have a drink or a meal during temple hopping. We had some lunch here and it was very good.

Fresh crunchy vegetables in every dish and the smoothies are superb! You cant go wrong eating here sitting inside in the cool or outside watching the world go by in front of Wat Mahatahat. I live in Ayutthaya and like many many long stayers in the city I love eating here.

The food menu is pretty decent, and the dishes are fresh and tasty, though not too inexpensive. Neither though can compare in any way to the Malako just one block away where you get more traditional Thai food in better quality (a lot tastier), in a much nicer athmosphere for ca. 2/3 of the price (e.g. Pad Thai at 55THB... This is a modest, comfortable little place across from the Historical Park that serves decent food at very good prices. In a city without any really good restaurants, this is a good choice. We had lunch here, with beer, for under $10 for 2 people and it was just fine.

Location is A+, service is friendly, prices are fair, food is good, but not great. I had a green curry, a very classic thai dish where thai eggplant and pea aubergine are two of the essential ingredients. But not here. Price was 100 baht incl rice, and 65 baht for a large Leo beer. Very scenic view!

What more could you want. Right across the street from the historical ruins and near Tamarind Guest House.

We ended up coming here many times since the food was so good. The Pad Thai was super tasty, so were the soups, the coffees and the smoothies. Not once did we have to wait (as other people mentioned) and we enjoyed just hanging out watching the nearby ruins and the people going by.

Great coffee, very nice Thai food, everything served fast and with a smile and for a great price. A good choice to take a few moments of rest from the scorching heat of the day.
