I stumbled into this bar/restaurant after spending the day in West End. It probably was not the 'perfect' New Year's Even meal for most people, but it hit the spot for this traveler. After a few local Honduran beers, the power went out in the town for the remainder of the night. With a borrowed headlamp, some candles and an... More

The food was OK. The bar was nice and open and we enjoyed some beers. The bartender was attentive. It seemed like the place was always busy.

Monkey Island has the best fish tacos I've ever had, and one of the warmest, most attentive management and staff imaginable. Also a great acoustic act on Sunday nights..highly recommended.

After living on Roatan for a while, and then being back visiting - finding a new place that has great food and a great vibe is a rare treat!! Kristen and Adam have made this place into an amazing home away from home for everyone! The staff is outstanding! They are so friendly and welcoming I didn't want to be... More

Walking into Monkey Island it appears to be just a typical beach bar, not so! Jonathon and Elizabeth the bartenders are friendly and charismatic and their drinks will knock your socks off. The best Monkey Lala's on the island. The food was spectacular, coconut shrimp, lion fish tacos, are whole group raved about their meals. Just another perk to stopping... More

Great place to hang out and remember the day. Brooke and Ting Ting were fun, interesting, and remembered your name after the first visit. Never tried the food, just the drinks.

If you're in West End on a Tuesday night, you're in for a real treat with Monkey Island's $1 tacos! Very tasty. Fun and festive atmosphere. But get there when it opens for the special (? I think it was around 5 or 6 PM; the sidewalk poster board states the time) in order to get a seat. One of... More

We stopped at this little restaurant during our island tour. Despite the rain and empty beaches the Monkey Island Beach Cafe was full of life! The staff were friendly and wonderful, the Monkey La-La's to die for and the food was wonderful! So glad we decided to have lunch here :)
